Chat error: Invalid IP?

   I noticed Caelia has been getting booted out of chat a few times with the following message:
   
   Caelia has been logged out (Invalid IP address).
   
   Not sure if that's a chat malfunction or something on her end but figured I'd list it anyway in case it becomes a problem for others or is a symptom of some other bug.

   Sounds like the IP of Caelia changes after being logged on so is rejected on a future check when the IPs don't match...Forum/site uses cookies so doesn't care but the chat is ajax.

   Ah, now I'm curious, how do you change your ip without logging back into Ajax? wouldn' that be technically impossible?

   Ajax doesn't care, it relies on your browser sending the information and does it regardless of the internet connection it is on. So if I am sitting here and my modem resets and I get a new IP, ajax (the browser) won't know or care. It will just use whatever connection/IP is available and push the information. It is seamless so it never logs out but has an IP change. Same if you are roaming between wireless networks or using a phone tether or whatever, it will grab it and use whatever it is on and won't force any logout.
   
   Most IPs don't get refreshed that often though so if this happens a lot, I would like to know how they connect to the site.

   It happened at least twice yesterday, since I saw both occurrences.
