   Last night while adding a new sub, I noticed that my sub count jumped from 18 to 23. I had added only the one new sub to my "In Work" area, but the only explanation I could come up with for the other 4 is that that is how many subs I've been added to as a co-author. That sub count pushed me up into level 7 territory and I see that I was just promoted. Now, however, my sub count has fallen to 18 (do in-work subs not count toward the total?).
   
   Any idea what caused this? Will it self-correct and drop me back to level 6 tomorrow? What are the odds of this happening again?

   Will have to dig into the script anomaly.
   
   I can't remember if submissions increment the subcount during the day, however at night there is cronjob that goes through and does a recount of all subs that have a "Normal" status which would not count anything in work.
   
   Looking at the cron for the collaboration posts, I did do something to track them but I don't think they are currently fully implemented.

   I seem to be bumped up to level 7 again with only 18 subs. I noticed a weird sub count yesterday (21, with no new subs or co-authorships) but that is now gone.

   If he doesn't get to checking it by Friday, I'll take a gander at it and see what might be causing it to go haywire.

   Seeing as you have enough XP for it, try adding more in work hidden ones to see if you can get your weird submission miscount up to 27 thus earning you level 9 every morning, if that does it it's most likely counting the in-work hidden stuff.  Worst case scenario you've eliminated one of the possibilities.

   It only counts Normal subs so you can have as many as you want in other status' and it shouldn't count.
   
   I haven't touched the cron job in ages so this might be a bigger issue that nobody every caught. I am currently on temporary duty away from home and won't be back till Sunday night. If chaos can find the error in the scrip then that will be sweet! Otherwise I will dig through it early next week!

   The cron job seems to be resetting my sub count back to what it is supposed to be, but only after promoting me due to the incorrect sub count. So perhaps the order is incorrect? The erroneous sub count appears to happen before the cron job.
