Strolen's Site Analytics
#1For the curious:
Stats from 2010 compared to 2011 via google analytics. There is surprisingly little difference between the years so we are fairly consistent. Which may not be a good thing depending on how you look at it.
Goal for this year is to break 125k page views. Need a 25% Increase!

What's "bounce rate"? -
Re: Strolen's Site Analytics
#3That is how many left the site from the same page they entered it. So they come, see it, get what they need or don't like it, and immediately leave.
We have a high bounce rate on our torture sub. :) -

I'm curious as to how we measure this. Is it the number of off-site referrals divided by the total number of page hits? -
Re: Strolen's Site Analytics
#7It is google analytics so basically they see if the person goes to any other page following an internal link. If somebody comes in to the landing page, reads an article and leaves or doesn't like the page and leaves, they won't have any other tracking data on any other page so counts as a bounce.

#8My phone and my pad is helping on the android browser
I think I am part of your bounce rate. I post links to a Strolen Post related to some thread on another site ( Trolls on RPG.NET is the most recent one). People would click that link, read the info, and probably go back. Sometimes they might look around, but they normally are just a one stop. Though to be honest, lots of people who visit once, do come again.
