JohnnFour of roleplayingtips.com and the person from the above website wrote an ebook.

Johnn is offering a copy to a Strolenati that would be willing to post a review of it.

   Any takers?

What's the deadline for the review?

3. Re: Anybody want to do a game Review?

No specific timeline given but should be reasonable obviously.

If there aren't any takers I will do it.

As co-amdin of roleplayingtip.com I received a free copy of the book, and can say that's it's well worth the read and purchase, especially for those who use the pathfinder/D&D rule sets.

Ok, throw it my way :)

So how do I choose who? I didn't think it through very well.

Maybe you don't - all three submit one and you let John choose?

The problem is he only has one free copy of the book to give out, so all three can;t write reviews if two of them don't have the book.

Easiest solution is to pick a # between 1 & 10 then have the 3 mail you their number picks, whoever chooses a number closest to yours wins the free book?

OK. Pick a number between 1 and 20.

    I secretly choose 11.

Johnn is good at being random. Will toss him the three names and put the entire blame on him for whom he chooses. Scras, you want in on it or just E & M?

Well, I was thinking that John would decide which one he wanted to post - or Strolen could.

So it becomes merit-based rather then random.

I pick 17, and yeah, toss me in

Did you all get the email from Johnn? Used the email addresses used on this site so hope they were right.

Talk about being behind schedule, I got the link, downloading it now will read tomorrow. And apparently I have won a license for the Astro 3.0 mapping program. SWEET!

I'm 81 pages into Assassin's Amulet, talk about holy freaking thorough treatment of the topic. What sort of review would they like, any sort of overall length or presentation? And on the Mohs scale of Critique how hard are they wanting?

If you have Johnn's email, I would honestly just shoot him the question. He can answer you better than I can guess. ;)

10:49 PM: I've finished my review and posted it over yon.

I'm actually writing a review of it myself. Dear freaking Cthulhu, this thing is insanely detailed. I would consider this the veritable Bible on the subject.

I'll post the announcement that was inside my copy of Assassin's Amulet; I would presume they're looking for roughly the same criteria of reviews:

      == Reviewers Program ==

We will send an email announcing this soon,
      but here's an early scoop.

If you write a review and post it online
within THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, we will refund
half what you paid for Assassin's Amulet.

It's our way to ask for reviews and to thank
those who take the time to write one.

To qualify, your review must be at least 100
words long. Positive and critical reviews are
      welcome.

      Email johnn@roleplayingtips.com with the URL
of your review and your PayPal email address.

(Sorry, we can only credit PayPal accounts at
this time - not credit cards directly. If you
purchased directly from a credit card, we can
offer you an Amazon or RPGNow.com gift
certificate instead of a 50% refund.)

I'm also mildly intrigued by the bonus program I got with it. Seems like it could be useful.
