   Just letting you all know I haven't disappeared into the nether again, just been busy with a lot of other projects that's been eating away at my free time. (Namely working on my first ever rpg related book "How to Run a Killer Zombie Campaign" and spending a lot more time then usual at the firing range with my new Glock 22 .40 cal, helping teach Rosie the finer points of pistol handling so she can qualify for her CCW permit.)
   
   So aye, I'll still be aorund and commenting, just not quite as often as I'd prefer.  :wink:

   In my experience, shotguns and grenades are superior to The glock when exterminating zombies! ;)

   I got one of those too, Mossberg 600 12 gauge, although Rosie's already laid claim to it as her weapon of choice in the event of a zombie incursion.  :lol:

   less kick, ammo is smaller and lighter to carry, plus easier to get. You don't have to get as close as with a shotgun. Plus, you can use it to hunt small to medium size game for food.

   Easier to maintain however with all that small ammo your carrying around it with take a lot more shots to persuade said Zombie from leaving you alone.

   Another downside with the .22 is the multiple shots will allow zeds and  warm blooded predators to easily zero in on your location, far more then a single shotgun blast would.
   
   (That and a .22 long rifle round won't reliably penetrate a human skull at a range greater then 20-30 feet or so, making it almost worthless against the undead, although kneecapping them can slow the mob down a pinch.)
