How about starting a thread telling a story. Each person tells a story and leaves it at a cliffhanger where somebody takes it over.
Sort of like freeform but REALLY freeform where anything goes and the farther out there the better.
This isn't mentally challenging enough I don't think. -

And as Strolen points out, a game that has been set up for mutliple people often is not as much fun with just two players....
I had the serious feeling we where going to go round in circles and I realy did not have much "reminds me of..." for the current words....
