#5Lots of good ideas here. I would also really like to see Mourn's http://strolen.com/viewing/30_Prophecies fleshed out and finished. When I originally came to the Citadel, I believe that I was looking for some good generic prophecies that I could adapt or throw into a project. How about showing this thread some love? -

Could you be more specific? After all "30 distinct ethnic fighting styles" doesn't really give me much to work with. That could easily be 30 Japanese or 30 Chinese fighting styles, or 30 fighting styles from all over the world (been there, done that). Or, it could just as easily mean 30 elven fighting styles, or 30 dwarven fighting styles, or 30 lycanthropic (zooanthropic, anthropomorphic, therianthropic, were-creature, what-have-you) fighting styles.
Of course, I'm probably at a disadvantage because I consider a mere thirty fighting styles to be too small a sample to work with. 30 "30 Fighting Styles" on the other hand, now that's a challenge... :twisted: -

#7Kuseru Satsujin - having read your sub on creating martial art styles, I would love it if you were to do a 30 styles. I've tossed around the idea of writing a sub on what I consider a broad sampling of the different categories of styles by culture (karate, jujitsu, northern shaolin, lan shau, tai chi, bagua, hung gar / five animal, wing chun, chin na, muay thai, arnis/kali/escrima, western boxing, and western wrestling), but I suspect my practical experience is too limited to pull it off. (Of course, I may try anyway.) -

I've had this in work for a while now, never got far with it. Blydden added a 4th entry, but we never got too far. If anyone else wants in, let me know, wasn't sure if it would be a good topic... But if Muro suggested it, it must be!

I was actually thinking in terms of the type pf fighting styles that you might among the different races which commonly inhabit most fantasy worlds such as dwarves, elves, etc. -
