Muro Award Discussion
#1For random chat
All the awards should be compiled into a sub with the Muro Award Freetext or something. Trying to figure that part out.
Also, when you find a way odd submission that is good, make a category that will only fit that one sub as an obvious fix. ;)
Will have to figure out this Achievement Thing. We can make an Achievement for every category and it will show in the forum under their name and will get it on their Citadel profile as well.

#2I'm excited. This will be pretty cool!
Yep Yep, on finding odd subs that rock and creating awards for them :)...will do some of that tonight!
Achievement awards showing up in Forum/Profiles sounds sweet as well!
Did I mention this is exciting? :D -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#3Did you see your personal award? Messed with a quick design trying to figure out what I want them to look like and how they will sit in the threads. -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#4I see it. Looks good!...maybe something a tad smaller? Not sure.
Okay, almost done with categories (though new ones keep popping up). Whats next?
Attack of the Specialized Scripts?
Btw, "compiled into a sub" w/Muro award freetext...me'likes!
Let me know, I'm not sure how to proceed from this point. -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#5My humble suggestion.
Release the categories now in all their glory.
Taunt them by asking if they can guess the winners. Offer XP and glory to those that correctly guess the winners!
Pay attention to their picks as we very well may use their suggestions as the winners.
I will scriptify through the list as best I can once posted and let you know here what I come up with.
I think Mar 11 might be too quick for the release personally. I remember you had 3 things on the list to do, where did the other one go? Or Mar 11 can be phase 1 of the release and we do it in a couple stages then perhaps? If you can break the list into 3 sections, we can do that maybe every 4 days release a section or something. That gives me time to work on some scripts.
If this is a hit, then we do a Horde Choice (a la People's Choice) and let the community come up with categories they think should also be awarded? (Just thinking out loud here) Maybe that is a summer/fall event. -

:)
Ok, sounds good. Will post all awards tonight, ask for guesses (and more possible awards), andoffer xp and glory!
I changed the dates because listing all the nominees seems like an extra unnecessary step. But you're right, need more time, so I'll make it March 27th--which is when all winners are announced.
Or something. This is getting harder :) -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#7I remember you had 3 things on the list to do, where did the other one go?
thing 1. was categories--done! (give or take 1-5 more potential categories, if i/we think of any)
thing 2. was going to be nominees--but with 30+ (or whatever #) awards, i don't think listing "nominees" is all that necessary. Ant-climactic even and pointless :)
thing 3. is winners--so i await your scripts, sir, when you are ready with them. It seems that the winners for like 90% of the categories (or 95% even) can be determined by script, from what you mentioned.
So, I'm not sure I have anything to do, between now and the script info.
no rush obviously... -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#8Oh I know! I can organize these a bit. For example, setting aside a few categories which will be put up in polls for citadel voting. Is there any way a single post can feature multiple polls?
Also, I'll work on my schtick, for presentation purposes.
Don't mind me... -
Re: Muro Award Discussion
#9Unfortunately, one poll per post. If there are a few we can make a temporary forum for the Muro Awards.
