Hi val, I'm Muro, are you familiar with what I do? :D. You'll get caustic and bombastic and other adjectives ending with -ic. No worries.

Pants are optional. Ties a must.
Regarding your speech, Strolen, you are obvioulsy anticipating receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. (You know the one that goes to some old fogie that the Academy forgets about for 20 years then goes, "Oh hey! This guy is still alive! Lets give him some award").
I wonder who leaked it. Heads will roll! (But yes, prepare for small speech) :wink:

I'm sure Pieh would look ravishing, but then the pressure would be on! If Pieh doesn't win an award for something, his evening will boil down to sitting around in a fancy black little cocktail dress and clapping. The morning talk-shows will have a field day at his expense! :P

So yeah, I want to try this, and now have lots of work to do. Basically, I have to review 2010 in subs, forums, upgrades, newbies, oldies, etc...
Maybe once we have the nominees, the "Academy" (Strolen members) can vote in polls on each award. Just a thought. -

And, yes, there should probably be about 456 different categories to win in so nobody gets left out. I will work on which member spammed the most before getting deleted. This is all very exciting. -

As for the little black dress situation: I don't typically wear anything that can be described as little, but if you can find a BIG black cocktail dress, or a tarp, I would gladly wear one of those, if not... It's shirt, tie, boxers. -

#21The Categories are out for public consumption (and ridicule!)
This is an incomplete list, brought to you after years and years and years of research by yours truly and Strolen.
There will be a few more categories added before the big awards banquet on the 27th.
As you may notice, some of the Categories will be strictly for 2010, and some will be overall ones. Some will be determined purely objectively, based on Magic Scripts (Strolen tm), while others will be determined subjectively (its a secret how), and some will be decided by YOUR votes!

Excellent! :D Out of curiosity, do the winners receive any kind of "award?") Maybe some bonus xp and a temporary custom forum title ("Winner of the _____ 2011 Muro Award!) to be displayed for 2-3 months? It might be a little work, but it would make the Muro's all the more special ;)

#39I hereby, and without further ado, present the 2010 edition of the Muro Awards.
Without Strolen’s enthusiasm and scripts none of this would have been possible. So special thanks to Strolen!!!!
Over the next few days, Award winners will be posted here for all to see. Feel free to accept your award here in-post with a few words, if the fancy strikes you.
We begin. (In no particular order. Without rhyme or reason. Let chaos reign.)
The first award of the evening is for the Most Upvoted Comment of 2010
The Award title says it all. We all love comments. Some more than others. Every single comment in contention was immeasurably better than these 5 for example:
1. “I like it!”
2. “What somebody else said”
3. “iiiiinteresting”
4. “Not bad”
5. “Meh”
The race was tight. Countless members came in second with “5’s”, but the most upvoted comment was up-ticked 6 times, and therefore our first award winner, writer of 2010’s Most Upvoted Comment is REDGRE!

(Incidentally, Redgre was also tied for second most up-voted comment with 5 up-ticks)

Like Marlon Brando in 1974, the Captain will not be joining us this evening and has instead sent a representative to collect his statuette...
