d 100 Bag of Useless Things
#1Ylorea posted the original bag of useless things and it's a great item, but anything worth doing is worth taking too far. And so we begin a quest to create a d 100 bag of useless things. As already pointed out in Ylorea's bag, some of these things will be useful sometimes, but in general use, these will be useless.
1 1d3 chocolate cookies
2 A masterwork sling bullet
3 A piece of white cloth (4*4 inch)
4 1d8 copper pieces
5 A small, fragile glass figure of a butterfly
6 A 20 ft length thread of wool (getting it out takes 1d4+1 rounds)
7 An apple
8 1d3 pine-apple cones
9 A handful of grain
10 1d3 chocolate cookies
11 Some cow-dung
12 A wooden spoon
13 A silver brooch worth 2 gp which disappears after 1d8 hours
14 A small bronze key
15 A wooden fork
16 A 10ft branch from a oak tree, including leaves
17 A gallon of water
18 A dinner knife (damage is 1d2-1, breaks on a critical hit)

#7You know, the advantage of 20 options is that it fits one piece of paper and then it is actualy usable in real play.
(Oke, they lost it, as all the players died last session, shame on me, but they were to doing to stupid things to survive at any rate.)
Dont get me started, I do not feel remorse, but if forced I will tell you what happened.

#8Oh, by all means, 20 items lists are much more useful in gaming than d 100 lists. Your bag was excellent as it was. I'm just over doing it for the fun of it.
I'd like to also take this moment to applaud everyone for thier ideas. We've almost completed a d 100 list in a single day! I have a couple ideas that could finish it, but I'd like someone else's ideas to fill it out. Then maybe we should edit it, like do we really need 3 entries for bent nails? Great work and Many Thanks to the patrons of Strolens! -

#9I kinda' like the way that the bent nails continued to be in larger and larger forms, like:

#11I like the progression of the nails as well. I am guilty of adding it because I refuse to read the first ones until after I do mine so I don't get persuaded by them, missed on the double check for duplications though.
Leave the nails, I LIKE THEM! Handy and useless at the same time!! -

19) slightly sharp small eating knife

#17I belive that a d 100 is hefty and cumbersome enough without taking it further. I think we would all end up insane if we continued and try to make a d 100 list to choose which d 100 list of useless items to use. 10,000 useless items?!? It can be done, but I'm rather attached to my sanity at the moment. -

#21Just for fun.
Always need a list of junk to pull out of a bag of holding anyway, or any other thing that holds tons of stuff without knowing what is in it.
If nothing else you can use some ideas to fill a 'money purse' lifted by your parties thief. The purses are not always filled with copper and silver are they? I hope not! -

#23I'm sure that if my parties theif stole a bag filled with this stuff there would be pain... a lot of pain, actually so much pain I dont want to think about it.
