Requesting Moderator Assistance - Email problem with new user
#1Hey, the new user BlyddenHonour ( http://strolen.com/guild/index.php?action=profile;u=3735 ) wishes for his username to be simply Blydden. He tried to register with a comcast.net email address and never received an activation email. I attempted to register a new account with my comcast email and I did not receive a confirmation. He was able to register with a Yahoo address, so it seems to be a comcast problem. Most likely some sort of ridiculous filter. Just a heads up, though. And if someone can change his name I'm sure he would be very appreciative. I know you guys trust me, but I won't be hurt if you PM/email him to verify. Thank you, guys. -

#2Done, he should get an email asking him to reset his password, requirement for the name change. -
Re: Requesting Moderator Assistance - Email problem with new user
#3There seems to be a problem with the internet provider e-mail addresses. I had another friend try to sign up with an AOL address and he has not recieved a confirmation e-mail. Can you look into this? -
Re: Requesting Moderator Assistance - Email problem with new user
#4comcast and aol get a lot of spam so they are extremely strict on the requirements for email arriving to their servers. I think I found the issue on email from me so opened a trouble ticket with my server's host as it is something I can't mess with.
Will update this thread when they send a response.
You might get some huge XP for this one Pieh. If I have been rejected from those servers for a while, that would be very annoying to me! Not sure why I haven't gotten the bounce response for them either, still trying to figure that one out too. Many little things floating around on this one, that is for sure.
Thanks!!
