What will the next Quest be?

1. What will the next Quest be?

   #1

While zombies still stumble about our halls, leaving trails of decayed viscera in their stead, let us ponder our next Quest, right here in this thread.

   Bonus points for rhymification.

I propose all things Lovecraftian in flavor. Star-spawned beasts and ancient, perverse cults. And tentacles. Lot's of tentacles.

3. Re: What will the next Quest be?

When Star-Spawned maladies invade your realities, you'll need nary a nudge to find yourself knee-deep in Shoggoth sludge.

Oh yes, what an unpleasant romp you'll have through the festering flesh-swamp of Rr'lavinav. And when you begin to see the fog thin, a monstrous worm of pus, topped with a fin, will rot you skull from deep within.

That is why we play these horrible games, not for honor or glory, but to see whose named can be attached to the death most gory.

((In other words: I agree with Drackler.))

Unspeakable horrors, undescribeable phenomena, unpronounceable names...

   Count me in

5. Re: What will the next Quest be?

What about creating a quest dedicated to the most unusual cavalry mounts and units? Since armed horsemen were an elite component of most pre-industrial armies, this one  should be quite interesting.

6. Re: What will the next Quest be?

Well, I can certainly get on top of an Exotic Mount Quest too

I'm still voting for Momma said knock you out~

8. Re: What will the next Quest be?

Hmm, how about voodoo magics and artifacts?

I think that the sudden appearence of countless giant squid off the coast of California this week may be an omen brothers and sisters.

I feel the stars aligning as we speak! er- type. . .

11. Re: What will the next Quest be?

I'll get the marinara sauce, and will heat up the oil

12. Re: What will the next Quest be?

Horrors from beyond the stars? That might be fun. The Exotic Mounts quest can come right thereafter. Or the other way around. I'm in for both.

13. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #13

Cuthuloid horrors and their unspeakable mounts? :P

14. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #14

    When?

15. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    Let's watch a movie!!!

16. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #16

I am so ready for a cthulu quest.

17. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #17

I am going to go with "Unspeakable Horrors" and use the Lovecraftian descriptions found in this thread. Doing the graphic now.

18. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #18

I find the quest banner hard to read, but I don't have time to mess with it. That is part of the unspeakable horrors...they are unreadable too!

19. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #19

I meant to mention that you all had some awesome quotes to just plop right into the quest description!

20. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #20

So, are everyone's horrors so unspeakable that they are unsubmittable? I have one in work, but it has been rather quiet on the quest front.

21. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #21

I put in 2 (one part valadar's, the other my own) and am planning a 3rd.

22. Re: What will the next Quest be?

If assignments let up a bit, I'll submit something suitable. I'm really hoping here that CP comes out of his mysterious seclusion and submits something. This is the type of thing he usually excells at.

23. Re: What will the next Quest be?

Quest extended till April 9. Yes, totally random date that came out of an odd unix date conversion....but will stand. :)

24. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #24

Thanks Strolen! Quite a few folks expressed interest in writing up more horrors. April 9th is a suitably ominous date.

26. Re: What will the next Quest be?

As far as quest ideas go, locations/adventures from landscape portraits, like what are found in this thread -> here

Of course, seeing how I've never contributed to a quest, I personally think my thoughts on this are null unless if someone backs me up.  :/

27. Re: What will the next Quest be?

    #27

Well, it's a good idea, why not. Let's see what others come up with!

28. Re: What will the next Quest be?

I love that site, though I have not figured out how to imbed an image from there - other then as a http link - in a sub.

Grr.  Flickr wants me to create a yahoo email account for access, so Flickr is dead to me.

Flickr is dead to me too. I have created an upload script that will create thumbnail and all the magick we need. Just need to find the time to implement it. First will be submission rework though. Upload will probably go in at same time.
