John Kim's Role-playing Site

This site is not going to win any awards for HTML flash, but it has a wide variety of content that is fairly deep. Your thoughts on the subject? -
John Kim's Role-playing Site
#2Hmmm....
Well, I think it has quite a large amount of content, but most of it is focused on himself and his experiences, or that's what I got from it.
I dunno. I really couldn't say whether or not to give it a Seal. -

#3It's got some good stuff, but it's also got some rather odd stuff. I looked at the system design articles, but I thought it was about how to design a system yourself. It's more about the theory behind the game design, and it's kind of complicated.
I dunno what to do with this. -

#4This one is sort of hard to classify.
Its content is based on pretty much instructions and tips on how to do things and offers tons of resources and links.
I think we are having so much trouble with it because it doesn't fit into our stereotype for roleplaying content which is more sort of aimed towards having actual ideas and writeups of immediately useful stuff as opposed to game mechanics, game explanations, and link resources.
I think this one fits more like the List of Worlds that was brought up before. It is a great resource and worth mentioning (some of the stuff is really interesting and I wish I had more time to actually read and think about some of it) but doesn't fit our brand of Sacred Seal.
Just another piece of proof that we may need another catagory after all. One for actual content, and another for a great resource.
Man is there a lot of work and time put into this page. The detail about everything this dude has done is overwhelming. Compiling a list of all published material. Good golly. Everything is on such a large scale. He doesn't mess around. -

#5No, he doesn't. We need another category so that we can give it a seal. -
What he said
#6I guess what I look for in a site is what Strolen mentioned. While I appriciate a quick file or tidbit to use, I have to adapt everything to the campaign I am running (or setting up). Many of these things can't be dropped into my existing games, as they are. So I need to use them as a spring board. I would rather have the information on how to do something, than the end results (The whole "Give me a fish I eat for a day. Teach me to fish and I eat for a life time." thing).
That's just me.
