I've been having a devil of a time trying to come up with sentient clothing.

Maybe a cloak of cloaking that can also act  like the annoying voice in your ears from MGS. :) (Ah! A idea!)

I think it would be a fun quest. (Hard one tho'. Ah well.)

3. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

   I vote for tattoos/magic

4. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

We could do something type-themed like undead, or dragons to put a spin on things.

I vote for any type of sub with a graphic associated with it (with artists permission, flickr has author permissions on each photo and many have the link all made for you to the thumbnail with link direct to larger picture).

The graphic could be of an object or location.

Would love to see some artwork finding its way into posts now that we can do that. (would work with tattoos as well)

A Fire Quest might be just what we need to spark the dry tinder in the minds of all the Strolenites into a glorious blaze of passionate creativity! I vote for the all-consuming Fire!

15XP for each submission with 100XP for 1st and 50XP for second.

    --Is that solid?

I could make a banner this weekend and we can start it earlier as well if you want to jump right into it. Help me with a description though.

((should be on gmail chat this weekend a bit for discussion. Will be knocking out the list manfred posted and a few other things as best as I can in the time I have))

    Sounds like a plan.

I am all out of Brilliant Descriptions though.

    Autumn Quest Brainstorming it is!

I dont have a "brilliant" description to insert, but came up with this on the fly  (someone come up with something better please)  :P

    "FIRE!!

Thousands upon thousands of years ago, role-playing was invented. Long before the first wheel rolled down a hill, and long before the first loaf of bread was sliced, our early anscestors sat around their caves telling each other stories and tales of gods, creatures, heroes and villains, and entertaining themselves with impersonations, play-acting, and role-reversals. All this was made possible by the roaring FIRES inside their caves, which warmed their bodies, roasted their meats, and shone light on their faces.

This month we celebrate FIRE and Role-Playing!

"The Quest revolves around the element of FIRE. Water, Air, and Earth will have to wait their turns. Items, Locations, NPCs, or Plots. All are welcome as long as FIRE is involved! Don your asbestos suits and enter with us, into the all-consuming inferno that is this month's Quest!"

    :P

    Lets get this Quest started!!!!!!!

(If Aerial/Sky or Tattoo Magic is preferable, we'll need a different "brilliant description" ofcourse)

17. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #17

I just fired one up! (Quest), but it seems to be hiding. I think its pending Strolens green light at this point (and banner)

    FIRE!!

18. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #18

heh heh fire, yeah, fire heh heh heh cool

19. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #19

If it isn't up tomorrow, will set it up and do a quick banner!

20. Re: Fire Quest

    #20

It seems the Quest for warmth is at an end. I will proceed to collate and organize the entries into a semi-coherent voting poll anon! (at the precise hour of Mathom's choosing)

Looking for thoughts regarding the qualifications for Quest winner poll. Should we do 4.5 scores or higher? 4 or higher? Any other ideas?

21. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #21

I think it is kinda sad how the rules always change.

What about requesting four or more votes on every quest sub, and once they all have that you pick the three whose votes are highest and declare those as finalists.

Then you can vote on those three.

22. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #22

Works for me. May take a while though waiting on 4 votes per sub, but i could be wrong. We'll go with your idea.

23. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #23

Voting can start now, all quest subs have 4 votes each.

24. Re: Summer Quest Brainstorming

    #24

    Thanks for the update, Moonlake!

Poll will go up tomorrow. I will find the 3 hishest-rated subs (finalists), and we'll vote the winners. Hotdog!
