   I'm thinking of creating a fantasy country that is having it's identity suppressed (a real life example of the sort of thing I'm thinking of, would be what China has been doing to Tibet.) So, what ideas/suggestions do you have for what is just an Idea Seed at the moment?

   Well, you could begin with how the suppression came to be. Was the country defeated in war, and now it is forced by the winner to adapt? Or is it something more intricate, like a new aggressive religion (or an old religion changing its ways), that pushes the people away from old customs towards new ones? Or is it ruler of the country, that has great project on mind, whatever it is... it wouldn't be anything new.
   
   With this, you have defined the identity of 'the people', the entity suppressing it and the groups, that will resist.
   
   How about that for a start?
