So, what interesting movies are there worth seeing in near future? Post the certain stuff, as the more speculative ones... we can check it all out.

Fire & Ice: The Dragon Chronicles - don't know what it is, but it looks pretty interesting. And I know the female lead from somewhere, too!

Well, my wife and I are looking forward to Twilight... fortunately, on the big screen, there'll be less yapping about how "stunningly beautiful" Edward is.

Watchmen. I just saw it. Never read graphic novel before, but just saw movie (and read everything Watchmen related on Wiki). Liked it. Would like to discuss it with a strolenite or two.

That Fire and Ice movie had some decent CGI, but ohmagawd it looked so... linear. The plot that is. I could probably have written that plot when I was 14. Would have loved it too.

Let someone make a movie about the Witcher! Or perhaps another vampire movie in the Night Watch / Day Watch series.

Hehe, I imdb'd it and found the following comment:
I know Sci-Fi Channel Movies are bad, but I've never seen one that was this boring

   :D

manfred: Here is the imdb movie record of that woman in the film:
   http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0009918/

My bet is that you know her from the "Angel" tv-series, as "Fred" (Winifred 'Fred' Burkle)

I've pretty much thrown the towel in on Sci-Fi movies. The plots are usually pretty linear, and the characters suffer from genre retardation. It is also a personal preference IE I rather hate CG. I would rather see miniatures, or straight up animation.

I'm curious to see Watchmen, but it's a wait till video rental

   I am stoked to see:
   Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
My friend in TX is SURE that the Fallen referred to in the title is a primordial transformer named the Fallen who was among the original 13 created by Primus. I have since bet him that the Fallen refers to the Decepticons who were killed in the first movie and to Megatron himself

   Star Trek
I like trek. I want to see this new movie.

   Twilight
Read the books, not bad, but it is a definate wait till rental. There is a sig I've seen on another forum where some woman is lamenting the fact that the world's most perfect man is fictional (let alone a mediocre-ly written woobie-vampire)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I know who it is, I've read the books

   Re AG: yes and yes.

Sure I know her from 'Angel' and the calling the movie linear, is, well, all that remains. :)

To put down something positive, at least initially, the dragons seemed like a true force of nature - nonnegotiable and unreachable for dem little humanoids. That part was impressive. The rest is a weak fairy-tale something.

Trek and Push are the two movies I must see.

I should see Watchmen, but I dislike that they changed the ending (and would have to in a post 9/11 world) and that Alan Moore washed his hands of it.  Still should be interesting.

And you know they will make a watchman kids cartoon if the movie does well.

I am looking forward to the new Highlander movie. It is suppose to be a re-boot of the original. I like the original, and some re-boots kind be lame, but I am hopeful.

I found this out from a reliable source who is a friend. He is involved in the movie. Currently he is doing work in The Hobbit, and the next season of Spartacus. And played a role in the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Wow! I saw an earlier preview that left me disenchanted, but this looks great!
