[old] Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#1Followed the link and looked at a few subs. Ended up with this:
Fatal error: ob_start() [ref.outcontrol]: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /home/admin/domains/readpostplay.com/public_html/lockmor/libraries/Exceptions.php on line 160
EDIT BY STROLEN:
Use the stickied http://www.strolen.com/guild/index.php/topic,4801.0.html to add bugs on the current Bug Bounty Quest. -
Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#2I don't have all the error correcting in place. That line is usually an error that comes from another error that caused output prior to the script was ready for it. The error above it was the important one.
I have a few on my list that cause that as well as some other oddballs.
When you get errors, I will need the url used and the entire error page. Chances are there was an error box above that error that was the real bug.
Thanks for sneaking a peak at it! -
Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#3Well, I was looking at my own subs
It was "Crawlers of the Dark", a dungeon: http://www.readpostplay.com/index.php/viewing/crawlers_of_the_dark
Error page:

(I suggest you cut this out of the blogging thread and paste it into some "v3.0 error" thread) -
Re: Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#4Looking at your own stuff is the best way to see if anything is missing or screwed up.
And THAT is an interesting error! -
Re: Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#5Dug through that one and found an error in my auto link helper function. Didn't like a [456|words] type link. Fixed now!
Thanks!! -
Re: Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#6Board has been a little bit quiet. I have forsaken my voting nightly as I have been actually doing some solid work on the site and don't want to get derailed.
Working on the submission page now and have gotten over some hurdles. I think I like the old way where it is just a list and can be expanded when you want to read the definitions but I am going to leave it as is until I get it working. Easier without all the extra code cluttering it. Going for working solid, not as much needing to be pretty at this point.

Not much but another solid day and it should be done...which means probably at the end of the weekend.
I have realized I didn't allow to reply to comments on the viewing pages so will eventually go back and fix that.
Suggestions welcome. -
Re: Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#7http://www.readpostplay.com/index.php/submitting/
It is a bit longer than V2.0's submission page and I can't decide if that is an issue. I wanted to try and fade away from all the hidden stuff and just have it all out there...but that turns it into quite a long list that might be scary for the unitiated. Strolenites can just whip down making their selections as before. See what the consensus is later.
The validation script is working splendidly. Submit the page with stuff missing and it errors nicely I think.
Nothing goes to the database yet and if you put in all the requirements the correctness of it will cause real errors -

Re: Lockmor 3.0 Bugs and Errors
#9That is a good error because I haven't done it yet. :)
Thanks for taking a look at the pages though!!
