Voting and Changing the Vote Question
#1I am wanting to do it a different way.
Instead of where you explicitly delete a vote and then revote, how about if the voting dropdown is ALWAYS available. If you decide you want to change your vote you simply vote again. Your old vote is removed and the new one is inputted with your new comment/vote?
Any issues with that? -
Re: Voting and Changing the Vote Question

#4Opens a door for Weasel Votes
I'll give you a good vote now, but in two weeks when you have more votes I'll drop it back down so no one calls me on it.
If we have votes being so easily changed, I think they should be visible. -
Re: Voting and Changing the Vote Question
#5Since high votes get you more XP, if the vote is lowered, will you lose some?

Re: Voting and Changing the Vote Question
#6Scras: You can do that now, just takes one extra click so I am not worried at all about that scenerio. But I am interested in the tracking of the difference in votes...will think about that a bit.
val: Right now the idea is simply to adjust the XP appropriately to reflect the vote. No extra XP lost in the process, just corrected for the new vote.
