   I might of posted this up before, but the setting which is excellent and the game system (which is totally seperate and still very good) deserve much consideration.
   
   If you don't know....

   Whenever I feel I might be going too far in world development for Midian, I just take a look at some of the fan stuff for Harn.  It makes me feel like an amateur.

   Harn's attention to (and obsession with) minutae and detail blows me away sometimes.

   My opinion of the system is still mixed at best. In fact, to be honest, i don't even remember what the system is right now. I am merely stating that Harn's attention to world detail is staggering sometimes (which is something I admire periodically)

   I have never changed my mind. The setting is still great. The system is okay. It is a great system, but is hampered by some clumsy parts.
   
   You have to remember, this game seems to attract medieval scholars like bees to honey.

   And yet they seem more interested in adding to the game world than arguing over their scholarly knowledge.  At least, this is the impression that I get from my outsider's perspective.  It is a great example of how a strong & supportive community really enhances a game.
