    Oh, I have the blues.

I feel so down, I've lost track of what's up.

    *moan*

    *sigh*

    *moan*

This is the thread of bitter negativity

    My kingdom for a design.

A simple, nice, elegant yet distintive, colorful yet easy to read, subtle and not too overpowering.

Is that too much to ask for? The perfect template and design?

It is too much. It is impossible. It just can't be done!

    Let us weep bitterly.

    My CD Drive hath perished
    No more Command and Conquer
    No more Starcraft
No more Age of Empires II
    No more joy

Vista has developed a love of vomiting forth Blue Screens of Death since it acquired a certain patch, and yet the patch refuses to uninstall.

I am beginning to consider formatting the damned thing and installing XP.

    No more sun,
    no more warmth.

    No love.

Just work and cold and darkness.

    Back in Norway...

    *weeps bitterly*

When Vista was through with me, I suddenly found myself installing Linux. Me, after years of exercising my mouse-pushing skills, forced to that horrible command line. I went through so many versions... there was the 95, sweet and self-destructing. The 2000, more stable but hard to get used to. And then, XP... it felt like home. I didn't use any Service Packs! I loved the fast unsafe life of full privileges without any silly user management rules. Those were the days.

Then, it felt like losing a hand.

At least I have Windows at work. :(

Coincidentally, I just re-installed Xubuntu on my computer, after it crashed. A couple days ago was spent getting my wifi to its  current, (semi-)working state.

I really have the blues because I can't focus on a submission long enough to finish it...

Oh my, I have the Blues too. So sad, I feel like collapsing. Tired, Frustrated, Moody.

Why have all the moonless nights spent watching ape fights gone from my life? Why does Vista hate me so much?
Where must I eat less? Sure, I *might* die in 20 years, but I would die happy! Now I diet.  :(

I give up! *Slowly stands, then makes his way to the kitchen*

Alas, I have so many fertile ideas that demand release and yet so little time to breathe them into birth. Are my grotesque creations to no longer to prowl the dank passageways of the Citadel? Woe is me! How foolish I was to underestimate the ruthless toll that the pursuit of high education would make on my life Indeed, I shall follow the example of older and wiser Strolenites and weep bitter tears.

[...] and the day that the toll of higher education is upon you no more, your eyes shall be opened to the burden of demanding work.

*unleashes a shriek of the utmost despair and horror as the dreadful verses are chanted*

Alas, is there no salvation from the Blues?! May the many gods of the Citadel have mercy on us, for the prophecies contained within The Book have none!

I have, to quote Murometz, the Polar Bear Blues!

... And just when you think things can't possibly get any worse, then they get much worse.  So you think, "gee, I guess that first part wasn't so bad after all."  Because every silver lining has a BIG dark stormcloud...
