#14I think I have 125 favorites in the gaming section.
This includes things about super hero games, pulps and pulp style games, game construction, world backgrounds, interesting free games, and so on...
I have yet to edit that section and make sure all those links are still active.
So everyone else is not a link pack rat? I thought all gamers were, as there are always sites that have useful information and things.
So after mopping up CPs brains, do the rest of you have some favored links?
You know, I think making CPs head explode or leak has become a new past time for me. -

Why am I posting this one up? It is an incredible source of information to be exploited for gaming.
Campaign Suggestions based on old TV shows
Plot Lines/ Story Lines can all be inspired by old TV plots. Choose the kind of plot you want, find the right kind of show, and peruse the show.
Images for characters and NPCs. Their listing of actors can be a great source of images. In addition, you can use characters from movies and TV as NPCs. (The Watchmen Abbott and Costello bumble by, The Prince Tiberious of the House of Kirk strides into the room. Women swoon. The Evil Wizard, played by Vincent Price, raises up his hand.... Well you get the idea....
Also you can find out about shows in development and other cool things. -

#31Clarification required...what's a hero sandwich?!?!
ephe! -
Recipes and Medieval info
#32A Hero Sandwich goes by many names, depending on where it's made. Among its aliases are submarine, grinder, hoagie and poor boy (or po' boy). Generally, the hero sandwich consists of a small loaf of Italian or French bread (or a large oblong roll), the bottom half of which is heaped with layers of any of various thinly sliced meats, cheeses, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, peppers-anything for which the cook is in the mood.
An appropriate recipe
Use whatever kinds of meats and cheeses you like in this delicious sandwich recipe.
1 loaf french bread, unsliced
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. honey mustard
1 tsp. prepared horseradish
8 slices deli swiss cheese
8 slices deli turkey
8 slices deli cheddar cheese
8 slices deli ham
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
1 tomato, thinly sliced
lettuce leaves
Cut bread in half lengthwise. In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey mustard and horseradish. Spread on both cut sides of loaf. Layer cheeses, meets, tomato and lettuce on bottom half of loaf. Replace with top half of loaf, securing with wooden skewers (Optional).
I often substitute salami, capicolla, mortadella, provolone, and cotto for the meats and cheeses, and oil and vinegar dressing for the spread. There are hundreds of ways to make this class of sandwich.
Serves 2 normal or one hungry human or half an orc.
In Addition:
Here is a great site filled with information about medieval Eurpoe. The site has a lot of information and a huge number of links... plus fonts... plus desktop theme... clip art... and more. I just stumbled over it tonight looking for something specific. It will be in my favorites listing when I go home.

#33I have an excellent site with loads of fantasy and scifi art. There are also writers creating stories and, I hear, writing games. I have yet to search for the gamers, but there are tons of excellent works from all around the world.

#34Any gamer who doesn't know of Elfwood deserves to be reprimanded firmly by their 3rd Grade teacher. -
Thank you
#35You said, what I thought... errrr... well in sentiment anyways. However, there are young gamers who don't know of it yet... and it was on hiatus for a few months... So we shall go easy on the scolding... this time...
Next time it shall be peanut butter and ferrets. -

This site has potential. Noted for Info and Images for minis
Site also houses the only new help guide for OpenRPG. Not to mention I only put in about 5 minutes a night towards the design and upkeep. *shrugs* It should be noted though, that this site was done for selfish reasons and not the public.

Golden Gaming Goodness
#39John H Kim's site.
Truly a wonderful site, filled with much gaming goodness. I appologize to all for not listing it before. I thought I had.

This is definitely a site that should be nominated for a Strolen Award -
Swordsmanship
#40In most fantasy roleplaying games, characters are in a thinly disguised Western European historical analogy, usually medieval. In many others, they are in fantasy variations on Western European historical eras. So medival and rennisance swordmanship is fairly topical for most fantasy gamers. If you know about swordmanship, you can see the reasoning behind some of the decisions game designers have taken (or see the rules that make you shake your head in wonder). Either way, a little knowledge on the subject will enhance you play.
This site is THE site for Western European Martial traditions
