   Something is wrong with the site. No new subs are showing. About half the subs i have visited are marked as deleted, (viewable only because I have admin powers?)  Heeeelllp

   Only half? Seems to me everything is marked as deleted. I'm glad we threw out all the old crap, we can start posting completely anew! :D

   LOL, maybe this went farther than I though. :)
   
   Mysql 5 doesn't allow a row called "condition" because it is a reserved word. I was using it obviously which is why adding a submission didn't work. I had to change that row and all submissions that didn't have a condition (should only be older one prior to the 2.0 changeover) got set to the default of "deleted"
   
   I only see 5 or so in the database though...are there that many?

   I figured it out, just a mismatche variable that defaults to FALSE.
   
   WIll fix it, no worries.

    OK, new leveling was too difficult. If D&D version 4.0 can go to 30 levels, I suppose I can put ours back the way it was.
    
    No, that has no correlation nor does it make sense, but I just read about 4.0 today so had to mention it somehow.

    2nd ed to 3rd ed took what, a decade and a massive overhaul of both the product, the PR department and the ownership of the company. since then we've seen 3.5ed and now 4th. I feel the urge to point out that WotC, the parent company of D&D is the product of Magic the Gathering, which releases a new core set...yearly. It's up to 10th Ed.
    
    Something to think about.

    The, um, Admin page link on the main Citadel doesn't seem to actually go anywhere, just a blank page.  Side effect of all this other mess?

    Oh yeah.
    
    Idea Seeds are gone, can't access them, though they still pop up on the bottoms of the pages. I was planning on going through my seeds and making them stubs, but I cant find them now  :?
    
    I am also having load problems with the site pages, I get a solid white page and the word done at the bottom in my window, reloading generally works.

    All symptoms of the original name change I can pretty much guarantee.
    
    I will run through all the code again tonight but it will remain broken all day unfortunately.

    I too appear to have returned to level 1.
    
    Profile screen correctly shows 32 subs and 1581 XPs. This should (according to the table in the Citadel Explained section) qualify as level 7, which is exactly where I was a week ago.
    
    However this screen also incorrectly shows as level 1.
    
    The error carries through to main screens, effecting voting rights.

    All symptoms of the upgrade unfortunately. (IT WAS WORTH IT, HONEST)
    
    It reset my cron jobs that run nightly to update the XP/levels.
    
    Will fix soonest.

    Woo! The loading problem can be reproduced!
    
    
    In NPCs out of History, updating a scroll and trying to post it always results in a loading problem. It seems the large size of the sub brings it out every time.
    
    The sporadic problem can be reproduced, Strolen... now you can find out the reason.  :up:

    Cron job is fixed so levels shouldn't screw up again.
    
    Next will do ideas, then if I have time will try and track down manfred's bug.

    Ideas should work, admin page is back and I reloaded the cache too. This place should SCREAM! It will now load pages that you didn't know you wanted to view yet. It will tell you fortune and give you powerball numbers to become RICH! Pass this on to 10 people otherwise you hamster will DIE!

    I edited that huge monstrosity of a post 5 times without issue. Perhaps the cache system will help deal with it a bit...maybe?

    I edited different scroll submissions each time and had no problem. Did it tonight on a friend's laptop in a hotel and still had no issues.
    
    Can you do a view source when it stalls and send me that. That might tell me how far it gets before it stalls and will give me more clues.
    
    Sorry I can't see it. I do believe you. I don't think you are lying to me. I believe you are truthful and wouldn't tell horrible stories. You are honest people that I trust. Really, I believe that you saw what you saw. Just because I can't see it doesn't mean you are crazy....really....right....

    But that IS interesting... I have edited several without problems, cleaning up crap and such. What we had problem editing, and the only thing we've tried, was the very first scroll comment - and I still can't do it!
    
    So, try to edit the first to see what happens.
    
    (Oh, and the loading problem's basic symptom is, that you don't get any html content - but I'll send you the http headers in case they tell you something.)
