Request:Link To FreeText

1. Request:Link To FreeText

   Eg:

The Bastard is a dangerous place for a fight, even discounting the patrons. It has numerous 'features' that increase the dangers of a bar fight.
   1. Large, unscreened fireplace equipped with fireplace tools. These are secured to the fireplace by 6' long chains.
   2. A 'coat rack' consisting of sharpend Iron spikes

Where clicking Iron Spike would bring you to www.strolen.com/view.php?node=free_search&free=Iron+Spike

   Why?

This could be used to eliminate the need to make dedicated Codecies for some purposes.

   I second the motion...

   I could see it work.

The only question is the one of syntax, as we want to keep that one simple.

An 'easy' alternative could be just using the name of the freetext - and let the system figure it out. That would require other changes, however, on the first place ensuring that no submission and freetext have the same name, plus at least one more DB call. Might be tricky, or not.

   But I like the idea!

   Requires thought process review.

   [sometext|FreeTextSearch(blahblahblah)]?

(or vice versa, I keep forgetting the order...)

DONE! Will write Linking Help Tutorial thingy soonest.

   [freetext|Freetext name]

[freetext|Arth] Would link to the freetext Arth - no other options, just identifier and freetext, it will link to the freetext.

   Really cool!

Now, having used one (Parasiticon), it would be nice if you could provide separate text for the actual text in the source.

   eg.
   [freetext|Parasite|others]

Subjects include the Ahoi Worm, the Tomb Trilosydes and many others, each more disgusting then the next...

Now, of course this seems a little picky, but I do like being able to use links that are not necessarily the name of the target post in the source text. :)
