Valentine's Day Quest
#1okay, vote and/or tell me a category to add to the poll. Nothing too specific this time. It has to be something which allows for maximum use of one's creative juices. One word.

Re: Valentine's Day Quest
#2So I hope Strolen has ironed out the bugs of the free-text quest, or will he have to do all those manually?
-
Re: Valentine's Day Quest
#3No bugs (I don't think) it operates just how it is suppose to. Anything that is submitted that doesn't fit the free-text has to be removed from the quest by an admin. There are other threads explaining the why, which I won't start again. -

#8Don your Hauberks!
The belated Valentine's Day War Quest is coming!! (this weekend). It'll be a bloody March!! -
Re: Valentine's Day Quest
#9The delay is my fault.
Will be Monday evening ( US CST ) before it will be available. I will be gone for the weekend and won't get a chance to get the code in place till I get back.
My apologies! -
Re: Valentine's Day Quest
#10OK, code is in place for this new type of quest.
On the submission page, there is now a checkbox to add any submission to the quest. This allows us to have quests that encompass ALL categories. It will be up to the user to catch it when it is originally submitted.
Any submissions that "forget" to check the quest will require a request by PM to me in order to assign it to a quest. I don't have time to code that admin feature so don't worry about sending whatever requests you need. I did it to myself after all. :)
For quests associated with a category (like all of the old ones), if the person forgets to click the quest, the code will double check and assign it to the quest anyway so there is no worry about missing submitting to a quest when it is in a category. Only time it won't catch it is when it is a generic quest for multiple categories. -
