   It is about 3 extra hours from NY to Las Vegas. From london, a difference from 7hrs 40min to 10hrs 45min
   
   East Coast seems to make more sense since we have a few international visitors that are making quite a sacrifice to come over. If they want to see Las Vegas, cool, but if they are coming just to meet and game, we can probably find cheaper and less air time places to meet.
   
   But if Muro has a hookup and we can get a nice suite that we can all crash in or something similiarly deal breaking, it would probably be worth going to Vegas regardless.
   
   Personal preference is Vegas, but will go East Coast in a millisecond if it is more convenient for others.
   
   I voted Any.
   
   East Coast: We will find somewhere.
   Other: If you have another suggestion
   Any: Are easy to please and will go anywhere.

   and of course, NY would be even easier for me to hook up. Either way, Vegas, NY, or the Falkland Islands, lets do this!  :D
   
   I await the official date and the "confirmed number of revelers" before plotting further, from my end.

   The Azores might be more of a happy median for us.
   
   Canary Islands might not even be so far off.
   
   Been to both of them, I would choose the Canary Islands. I got some sweet dragon statues (3) from a little shop there.

   Dear all,
   
   Long time no see! It was quite random that I happened to be browsing today and thought "I've not been to Strolen's site for a very long time" and decided to post something (have a read!). I'm also excited to hear about this crazy StrolenCon idea - it so happens that I'll be in the States for a conference at Stanford (in San Fransisco) from the 25th of June till the 29th, and I'm sure I could get the plane in a few days early if there was going to be anything happening anywhere easily reachable.

   Hell, I can work something out as far as extra time. Not sure how easily you can get a layover on the coast a few days before the weekend. I could get there early with no problem.

   I would push for Vegas. It is generally cheaper than NY (or most places) in terms of food and lodging, as they want to draw you into gamble. (And there are things to do that are free or cheap besides gambling, because even WE do things besides gaming). There are flights direct and direct connect there from anywhere (though New York has that going for it).

   I would miss the buffets at Vegas, but as it stands: East Coast it is.

    Do we have a hotel in NY city (or environ) slotted for this? 
    
    And can we get a conference room (or two) there?  I mean we can hang on in a lobby and game, but most hotels frown upon that. We can just do things in hotel rooms (if adjacent). (Embassy Suites is good for that, we get three adjacent rooms that link...)
