   My Site:
   "My Site" is a phenomenon that has been washing over corporate intranets in latter years. Essentially "My Site" is a personal hub where personal workspaces, personal link collections, and so on and so forth can be accessed.
   
   I got this idea trying to identify something in which freetext clouds could be used. "Personal Freetext" came into mind, and from that sprung "My Site".
   
   The main site user page is a meagre beginning of a "my site". It has links to in work stuff, private as public. These could be considered workspaces. In corporate settings private workspaces are common, and one could even invite other users to the workspace. Those workspaces would show up in all included workspaces, with the owning user as the moderator.
   
   Workflow:
   The Strolen's Citadel idea of acknowledging submissions (chilled's subs are a good example) is in spirit of the workflow process. Workflow simply means someone is given a task (a user wants to write a sub) and a workflow administrator either approves or disapproves the sub when it is submitted. This is a process ALL users has to undertake, so there aren't any flags or humilitation involved.
   
   To make the workflow system work, we would need workflow administrators. These would serve as mentors, and could even throw a vote at those subs that got accepted. One way this could work was if every active administrator (the inactive ones have honourary titles anyway, right?) got every n'th sub into his own "Workflow Stack". The administrator then would have to read through that stack and either approve or disapprove (150 character reason required) the sub.
   
   Then again, this isn't a corporation. :)

   Ehhhh... you don't want to institute this for ALL submissions, do you?

   There won't be an approval system (except for flagged users)....but there is definitely an idea in there.
   
   A more customizeable workspace is what I am getting out of it which is the angle my thoughts are currently taking.
   
   A customizeable index was my first thought with it:
   
   Turn on/off the left menu. All those blocks of submissions are just function calls so I can allow all of them to be turned on/off. Adjust how many of each you want to see, etc.
   
   Add the "new since" as an option, show all the personal in work submissions from the personal pages, allow favorites as a block some other stuff from the personal page, etc. All chooseable on/off and/or quantity of each.
   
   Still brainstorming on myself though.
