Surely there's room for more than one smith-swordsman (or woman). :P

'Sides, mine's tribal and yours is city folk.  There should be plenty of differences.

    :)

The skillset is indeed similar, but remember peeps: This is a ROLE-playing game. Screw the skills and play your characters well!

Vidi well, my brothers, vidi well.
You must stand united to survive and a bunch of testestoron filled swords(wo)men might ensure that survival :)

Look at it this way: Your characters could have been ripped straight from a Boris Valejo painting! :p

Okay dudes! Check out EchoMirage's revised equipment list. He asked me if it was okay if he wrote down some equipment, and I said that as long as he was reasonable, he could do that.

So, you want a cloak or boots or some blanket? Go write down YOUR equipment. When the game has begun it is too late!

Remember the no gun, no expensive jewelry rule. You are basically "starting adventurers" and NOT "high level deity slayers"

Is a geiger counter available? If so, dibs on one.
  7. Re: OOC game natter

    That is typical "purchase material".
    You knew that ;)

Hey Muro! Is Kiph's fetish leather!? Ha! I kill me!
  10. Re: OOC game natter

    #10
hehe, I have to chat with AG, before identifying the 'fetish'.

Glad to see your character is coming along Muro!
You must remember to send it to me though, with secrets and all ;)

Guys, noticing that three of us voted for being merchants - why doesn't anybody of us play a Merchant, or even have a merchant skill?
We're a band of travelling thugs, apparently. Could someone of you scratch up a few skill points and stick them into Mechant?

As I noticed, Bakur wasted at least 40 skill points, as the sword skill has a base chance of 20, as well as the Mace skill (under which wrenches fall, presumably). Also, hide and sneak have base chances you did not include.

So please, Badblood Kiph, get Merchant and a few other skills usable for a group, too.

Will be fixing skill points tonight.  Thanks for the oversight, Echo. :D

Heh, just noticed: Our band has been beaten with the ugly stick (or an ugly log) extensively... we've got average appearance of 7.5

It's up to the Listeners to post then :)
  16. Re: OOC game natter

Your decision. You notice them stiffening and might wonder why, or you could continue the conversation...

Oh, and Muro: It was pure luck that Kiph succeeded that listening check. You ain't got no percentages up yet, so I used base chance for the check. Now, Ralkhara has a whooping 75% chance, but you just plain old lucked out!

Get those percentages in order! ;)

Just for safe keeping and for those who are curious: I am using a superior random number generator when I am away from my dice (while at the office, for instance ;))

    It can be found here:
    http://www.random.org/cgi-bin/randnum?num=1&min=1&max=100&col=1

    This is the main site:
    http://www.random.org/nform.html

manfred should be a member of that site ;)

I asked in the chat what people wanted to do. Muro's PC wanted pursuit, Dozus' wanted to watch him. The rest seemed like they wanted to stay. Shadoweagle wasn't present though, but from his posts he wants to stay put and take care of his knee and hide the merchandise.
  19. Re: OOC game natter

Bakur will keep going and try to follow Kiph.
  20. Re: OOC game natter

    #20
Sorry Shadoweagle, I just noticed that Ralkhara tried to sell an existing sketch, and did not offer to draw a new one as I first believed. To close the obvious gap in logic, let us just assume that Tara wanted one made of herself and little Johnny, ok?

You can converse with Ceres now, but I will only wait 12 more hours for that. If you guys do not continue the conversation within 12 hours, I am going to fast forward to the Faculty as you bring the artifact of Radiatos there!

Kiph and Bakur: The two of you will be on another time scale, though your paths MAY cross as the faculty is beyond the bazaar.
  21. Re: OOC game natter

    #21
Woah! You read it right the first time! Ralkhara was trying to show her the first scetch to show the skills he has to convince her to make the second sketch!
  22. Re: OOC game natter

    Phew!h
  23. Re: OOC game natter

    #23
Onoes! Nobody's gonna try and keep one of the people alive!? Ralkhara will be most miffed with the both of you, Kiph and Bakur! :p
  24. Re: OOC game natter

well, I tried to knock her out, with the machete handle to the head, but I guess I slit her throat instead :P

Damn! My bad. SO is kind of not-so-happy with my online life at the moment, so my focus is hurting. Thanks for letting me know Murometz!

I may attempt a truly revolting post (in character). Any objections?
  27. Re: OOC game natter

    #27
    Not from me.
What say the rest of you?
  28. Re: OOC game natter

If it's in character, by all means -
  29. Re: OOC game natter

    I'm intrigued, and approve.

I am free once again. Will resume today!

    Huzzah!
  32. Re: OOC game natter

    #32
I'll post tonight. Tiphala and I have some unfinished business.  :P
  33. Re: OOC game natter

    #33
Okay, Bakur should probably post something soon. Kiph too I guess, but he has been played regularly for some time now. Remember this one thing: Inaction means indecision and indecision + bullets = bad.

As for the rest of you: Ralkhara and Ceres are running down a corridor, not much to be said about that. As soon as the Kiph + Bakur sequence has played for another 10-30 seconds, I am going to come with a post, and just lets say that your actions are "somewhat" important. One could even say that lives depend on those posts :p
  34. Re: OOC game natter

    #34
Will post from work later today. Where is that Behemoth Bakur?  :P
  35. Re: OOC game natter

    #35
sorry, meetings all day. Make that early tonight! (but as usual, i WILL post)
  36. Re: OOC game natter

    #36
okay, i would have posted a more "actiony" post, but I need some clarification on the "scene" presented.
  37. Re: OOC game natter

    #37
Today it is my turn to have meetings. Will post after the day is done!
  38. Re: OOC game natter

This is as good a time as any I guess.

Kiph is obsessed with Ceres. Not so much from a "true love" perspective, but from a more, Ceres-Boss, Kiph-slave-quivering-and-whimpering-on-the-floor-with-pleasure kinda "love".

Kiph respects Ralkhara, which to Kiph means mostly silence toward the man.

Kiph hates to love, and loves to hate Bakur. He would kill him if sufficiently "pushed", but he would also risk his own life to save him.

Kiph sees you three as the only family he has, fellas!  :P

Just read your post, and need some clarification. I thought we were in the cellar about to go thru the door Damien did. I am a little confused...with seeing outside at the moment.

sorry, I might of missed something

Nope. You are right. I just added to what you saw when you were up above.

A little retro action so to speak. When you guys fast forward in time, and I feel the need to hand out relevant information, I will do that.

Glad to know that you ask when you need to!

    Continuity:
In the part of the tunnels where Ralkhara, Jonathan and Ceres originally found themselves there was no light.
In the part of the tunnels where they have now met Bakur and Kiph, there is a dim light shining from a light bulb.

This is not an error. The tunnel that Kiph and Bakur followed was dimly lit, the one the others followed was not. They are presently at an Y-junction with the two groups emerging from each their "upper branch" of the Y. They can turn in either direction, or they can follow the third tunnel into the tunnelcluster beneath the center of town. If you still want to the storage facility, this is where you should go.
