Hey Im new here
#1hey guys Im new, ofcourse, and very interested to know how this site works. I play many RPG's like Oblivivion, Morrowind, Final Fantasy etc......But I enjoy creating my own stories exactly the way I like them. My new interest is creating a story about a bard and his travels through unique countries with the warriors from those countries. Everyone knows that there has to be a bard to tell the story in order for a warrior to be known. I intend to use that as a plot for my story. Let me know what you think about it I really want to get started. -
Re: Hey Im new here
#2Ah, a CRPG player. Welcome Abock. Enjoy your stay!
As for what a Bard should carry:
A particularly heavy hangover, the burden of being father in more cities than one and several unpaid bar tabs.
Cheers! -
Re: Hey Im new here
#3Yoz! welcome! I like your question about which weapon and instrument he should carry....
totaly gave me an idea for my comics >_| -
Re: Hey Im new here
#4All hail Abock of the CRPGs.
How about a lute?
A flute wouldn't help too much unless there was somebody else playing it for him while he sang is bard songs.

Re: Hey Im new here
#5No harp? No lute? No bagpipe? C'mon, dude! -
Re: Hey Im new here
#6A lute, with a reinforced everything so that when he uses it as a club it won't break. -
Re: Hey Im new here
#7Bards, from what I've read, often use a lute and a short sword. Anyway! Well met! -
Re: Hey Im new here
#8There's a short article on [medieval music] over on the main site. Get y'rself a Cittern! With that and a back-up band, your fame is assured!
And don't club anyone with it! You know how much a top-quality lute costs these days? -
Re: Hey Im new here
#9Peace. . . who says every bard has to follow the same logic as other bards? Make it an axe and a morraco... -
Re: Hey Im new here
#10I wasn't saying follow the lute/shortsword equips. He asked for help deciding. Thats a common (if over used) combination. Personally, I think a Lute with a dagger hidden in it would be different, and give the bard a bow for more originality
