New here, but don't expect a pushover
#1Hello, everyone. I would be a fighter. I favor the Two Weapon fighting Style and prefer Katanas over any other type of blade. Bows are a must, and I am adept and hunting (anything) at night. Just thought I'd get what i got to offer right out and see what this place has to offer. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#2An impressive resume, to be sure. But can you write? That, my friend, is the question. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#3Well, I can write pretty well. I basicly only read Forgotten Realms so my style of writing is strait up medival fantasy. I've started on a quite a few books, with great plots, but never had a chance to finish them. Dam little sisters and brothers! But I got to love them. I normally focus my writing around major assassinations, weather on the main charachter and failed, or against the enemy, in how the plot starts. The only weakness is many people are lost for the first few pages because I rarely use names for at least 3 pages, I think it adds to the mystery at the beggining, holding the reader to the book so he understands what he just read. But thats my opinion. I can try to get some of my work up here, but it will be very difficult. -

#4Welcome, LithTheBlade! You sound like you are here for the freeform section. Have fun! -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#5Well, remember kid. The editor don't give a rat's socially unacceptable replacement for hindquarters what you think. It's all about what the reader's think, and the customer is always right. Just a hint, don't go hunting for gremils at night, they will always eat your closest friend AND get away without you touching them, and avoid the flaming monkey troat bludgeons. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#6I'm gonna take that katana, and sh---oops, wrong thread. Welcome LithTheBlade!!! :P
You like hunting at night do you?

Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#7You know what... I was gonna' say some stuff, but nevermind. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover

Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#9*Thanks for the advice Pariah, gremlins are hard enough to catch when your calm.
*Murometz, these katana's are mine, and I dont have them enchanted hyet, they would be useless to you, and what were you gonna do with them? :P
*Captain, I am new here, you input is welcome. Not like I could stop you anyway.
*And back to Murometz, please dont write stories about me, I hunt at night, and right now, I cant even stay UP at night, its really very tiresome business to go to sleep early. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#10My input?
I have none. I was writing and then I stopped writing and now my writing is irrelevant, -

I have that same problem.... oh Hi Lith... writing is the key to success. Put your blades down and pick up a quill. Its safer, the benefits are better, your life insurance policy wont be to high and chicks dig writers. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#12One of my old mottos alway was, "I'm a lover not a fighter, but I'll still kick your teeth in." So I guess I'll just hang up my blades for a bit. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#13Hi, I'm new here too. I'm more adept in firearms as you can see by the name. Concerning the fighting and writing, I'd just like to quote General MacArthur by saying, "Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons."
-
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#14I prefer General Ridgway myself, MacArthur's successor after he committed political and career suicide by advocating the use of the nuclear bomb. General Ridgway "The jumping and fighting general" is a true wartime hero ;) -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#15A nuke is launched by a button, and a gun is shot with a trigger, disable the person's hand, and they cant do either, unless they want to launch a nuke by slamming their forehead on the button. -
Re: New here, but don't expect a pushover
#16Those who eat cherry slushies in time of extreme danger are more apt to get a brain freeze.
Thought I would add my impressive words of wisdom to the current quotes.
Welcome LTB. -

I remember seeing a movie where they said that same thing!

Starship Troopers, 'An enemy can not push a button, if you disable his hand.' -
