I'm going to start a roleplay set in a medieval-esque era, where the world in chaos ruled by two corrupt political parties that want each other dead. I was hoping someone could help me come up with what they stand for, both what they tell the public, and what they really want.

Read the Game of Thrones series (or get the RPG which summarizes it well)

Read the Wheel of Time series (or get the RPG which summarizes it well)

Read The Prince.  Which if you search it on google, you can get the entire work for free.  And it is really darn short, so you can read it online or print it out.

Read somethings about the Thirty Years War that will show you how to set up a deeply ingrained political situation with built in drama. (Or you can read anything in the 163x series... kind of fun).  You can get a similiar feel for reading some things about the Italian Renissance.

Click the search for Free-text on r side menu... then search Magenta Rose.
