FUDGE?
#1FUDGE:
http://www.fudgerpg.com/fudge/getting.html
I messed with it a little bit years ago and instead of going through the great difficulty of coming up with our own system it makes sense to me to cannibalize something that is made to be cannibilized and modified. It is also a pretty solid system for what it is, after all it has been around for a long time and has a solid following.
I think it is worth giving a serious look. Attached (to try out the new feature among other things) is "Fudge in a Nutshell" that goes over the highlights of the system. -

#3Hmmm! This FUDGE system looks promising. I'll do some research into this...
ephe! -

#4I rather like FUDGE. Built a cyberpunk system out of it already, and I'm basing the official segment of my MUSH off of it, complete with some of the Gifts and Flaws I developed... -
FUDGE?
#5From what I've seen, FUDGE is a pretty good system. I have a copy of the FUDGE rules, plus some other nifties like a FUDGE dice roller. -
FUDGE?
#6...FUDGE dice roller?
Oooh... Could you share? -
FUDGE?
#7Here it be. It'll also do most common dice types. You have to unzip the whole thing to the same file, though. -
FUDGE?
#8I agree, FUDGE is a really good core system. I admit, I am a little biased, but only by experience. :)
What are you nice folks considering doing with FUDGE? Curiousity piqued. -
FUDGE?
#9Actually, I think the idea died. At one point we were talking about doing an organized role-playing section, with official GMs and stuff. -
FUDGE?
#10That is not a bad idea, a moderated roleplaying area. However, it means we have to have a way to make a GM the moderator of their game's thread. I think once you are a moderator in one place on the board, you are a moderator everywhere. That becomes a bad can of worms to open. -
FUDGE?
#11That was supposed to be made in a chatroom... someway... somehow...
The idea may be dead, but ressurections have happened before.
