   when I try to access main page

   reload brings up main page
   
   Following error repeated in each category on left hand column

   Following Error in each recent/random/golden category on main page

   Final note, screen is out of proportion, requiring scrolling to see both sides of the page, forums work fine.

   That is happening currently? The database connection error on the top is key, it drives all the other errors because there is no data to propogate the foreach statements. The scrolling is because the errors and solid screens with no carriage returns forcing the structure out of whack.
   
   Main thing is: Is it still happening? Or just happened for a little bit?
   
   I cringe when I think of it, but maybe the Citadel needs to move yet again......a more solid host......grrrrrr

   Seems like it was a short term deal, after a few minutes the errors seemed to go away without incident.

   Phew. It scares me when people are having errors and I am helpless because I can't duplicate them.
   
   I am hoping the server modifications and autocleanup scripts I put in last weekend will help keep it efficient and clean. Only time will tell.

   Messed with some server settings and did some database changes to InnoDB which is a row locking type database instead of table locking. Maybe that will make the tables more accessible to the scripts which is what, I think, is causing all these errors.
   
   Lets try this for a week and see where it gets us.

   Was shuffling through the catacombs and was loacked out by this error around page 7, later took several attempts to get back to this page where I could report wierdo-programmy wordiness

   It is an art, so I read, to correctly stabilize the system to your load/system.
   
   I think we are getting closer though. I don't get but a few emails now.
