   I don't like Sponsored, I had knighted at one point, but being knighted implies something permanent once enacted. The purpose of a sponsored submission is to last for a little while and then be dropped so need a word that describes a temporary existance.
   
   The reason:
   We all know the difficulties in getting people to view older or some not newer but neglected posts. Posts that are good, but maybe not great enough to be HoH, but still good enough that they shouldn't be sitting stagnant in limbo. So we have come up with a few things to cycle submissions through, and they are working for the most part but nothing is yet perfect. We have a way to recognize the 'good' posts but not a way to recognize 'neglected' posts.
   
   The thought:
   So maybe if we had another version of HoH but not quite so intricate. Just quick a dirty. At any one time we could have 5 sponsored posts. Then shalt thou count to five, no more, no less. Five shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be Five. Seven shalt thou not count, neither count thou four, excepting that thou then proceed to Five. Ten is right out. These can be any posts sponsored by anybody, even their owners. I don't track crap on it because we just don't care who sponsored them. So this augments and gets us out of the forum a little bit for the 'please look at me posts' althought the forum will remain. We have an avenue to self-promote without reprucussion which we didn't before.
   
   The only rules I think I would put on it are:
   - Only 5 at a time.
   - The submission will stay sponsored until it is commented or voted on then it returns to normal.
   --- It does have the bonus now to be in the "Replied to" area for a little bit so it still gets some added exposure.
   - When it returns to normal there will be 4 posts there then until anybody fills it.
   --- More often than not, I would imagine, it is almost a reward for the person that comments on one of them. They then have the immediate opportunity to sponsor the next one before anybody else.

   I think it would be cool if the person who replies to a sponsored post gets to pick the next one, but I could see one person dominating the cycle (not someone in particular no bad ideas there, just abusing the system in general) placing all of their subs up and getting all the exposure.

   That could happen, but admins will have a kick button. That would be their perogative though to boost up all their stuff. They could only do it once or twice before it got old though, but if it is neglected stuff.
   
   Need more limits?
   
   - No Sponsoring unless last comment is more than a week old?
   
   or something?
