Open Action Association
#1Open Plot Association petered out because there is too much thinking involved so here is my attempt at something.
(Might need some fine tuning since I am making it up on the spot. A friend and I used to do this when we were bored.)
There must be an action.
It can be any one action and must directly affect or interact with the previous action.
You cannot add more than one addition person place or thing in your post.
OR
You cannot remove any more than one person place or thing in your post.
There can be any number of things going on added by however many people, but every post must repeat all of those things in the previous post to maintain the continuity.
There should be no reason you have to read more than the current post to participate. It might make more sense sometimes if there is a trend, but any action at any point should be acceptable and you must work with it.
For instance.
A ranger is walking down the street.
-----
Their is an explosion in the street blowing the ranger into the sky.
-----
A nearby dragon flies by and grabs the thrown ranger.
-----
A spear is thrown at the dragaon that is carrying the ranger.
-----
The spear hits the dragon directly in the head going through the ranger.
-----
The dragon spirals to the ground landing on a small peasants hut.
-----
The peasant gathers around the hut and calls his neighbors to look.
-----
One of the neighbors starts pulling teeth out of the dragon's mouth.
-----
etc etc. Mundane but you get the point. Improvise on the rules as you go if you need to, it makes more sense when you just do it but this will get it started....I hope. -
Re: Open Action Association
#2I am hurting for creativity right now, deal with it.
------
A lone druid sits alone in a wide open green field banging two large rocks together. -
Re: Open Action Association
#3The banging of the rocks is a prayer to the God of Stones, and makes a small dirt-spirit form. -
Re: Open Action Association
#4The dirt spirit demands the sacrifice of precious gemstones! -
Re: Open Action Association
#5Which his servant just ate as a part of the ritual. -
Re: Open Action Association
#6The dirt-spirit, in his fury at seeing the gems eaten by the servant, starts to spin at such a rate to slowly, with gaining momentum, generate a dirt tornado around the amazed druid.
(try and collect everything that is happening in your sentence so we don't have to read back because, already, I don't even get what is happening :) But, even if I don't get it, you have to run with it. ) -
Re: Open Action Association
#7
The dirt-spirit, in his fury at seeing the gems eaten by the servant, starts to spin at such a rate to slowly, with gaining momentum, generate a dirt tornado around the amazed druid.
(Why not just quote the previous one?)
The druid is spun rapidly by the dirt-tornado for a while, before bieng flung out of it and into a previously un-noticed pit. -
Re: Open Action Association
#8The druid is spun rapidly by the dirt-tornado for a while, before bieng flung out of it and into a previously un-noticed pit.
Disturbed by the impact of the druid, a swarm of large and brightly colored mana ants boil up out of the mound, hungrilly biting the druid to leech away his magic power. -
Re: Open Action Association
#9You shouldn't have to quote it if you do it right.
The, now magically enhanced, ants carry the unconscious druid across the plains and offer him to the awaiting Jabberwocky. -
Re: Open Action Association
#10The Jabberwocky Roars in fury at the druid, a far worse offering than the ants had brought him yester year! In anger, he whiffles through the tulgey wood, burbling all the while! -
Re: Open Action Association
#11The whifflling and burbling disturbs the sparrows, who fly off in a cloud of bloody red. -
Re: Open Action Association
#12The Jabberwock-disturbed sparrows fly over the top of the Forest Temple of K'ul. The oracles in the Temple sight the sparrows, and foresee it as a dark, dark omen. -
Re: Open Action Association
#13The fearful monks believe that the sparrows are fleeing from a dark and vicious diety, one that will arrive in just under 100 days! -
Re: Open Action Association
#14Action orientated, not ideas. ;) Funny though!
As the sparrows fly past the sun the sun slowly blackens reigning night over the the Temple of K'ul and the rest of the land.
-
Re: Open Action Association
#15The blanket of darkness allows the creatures of the night to come forth, and with them, the dead. -
Re: Open Action Association
#16The walking dead proceed towards the white rabbit while mimicking Michael Jackson's Thriller dance moves. -
Re: Open Action Association
#17Michael Jackson pulls out his catapult and starts shooting the walking dead to protect the innocent white rabbit. -
Re: Open Action Association
#18The valiant King of Pop is drawn to a sudden halt; basalt or marble to loac the catapult...black or white. Emitting a high pitched OWWWWWW! He smashes the catapult with a mace whilst dancing up a storm. -
Re: Open Action Association
#19Standing amongst the shrapnel of the destroyed catapult, the master of Thriller sees that his mighty screech of OWWWWWWW has drawm a group of sirens who have answered his unavoidable call. -
Re: Open Action Association
#20The OWWW drawn sirens sirens see their arch-nemesis, the white rabbit, and immediatly join the fray. -
Re: Open Action Association
#21From the depths of the nearby see rises Neptune and silences the battle between the white rabbit and sirens. -
Re: Open Action Association
#22"You're hurting my goddamn ears, you pop-culture icons," roars Neptune, and strikes the land with his trident, creating a huge geyser. -
Re: Open Action Association
#23a sea-nymph is startled by the climate change, and prays to the ancient FNORD of her ancestors -
Re: Open Action Association
#24FNORD answers all calls and sends the grace of spom upon the land to serve the sea-nymphs in the way only spom can. -
Re: Open Action Association
#25But those sea-nymphs are TOTAL HO's and are like NUH-UH, BITCH, NO YOU DI'INT and then SPOM totally BITCH-SLAPS those mothafuckin sea-nymphs -
Re: Open Action Association
#26The nymphs go running to their pimp who, when realizing they were spommed, immediately tries to find some acceptable offering for the SPOM. -
Re: Open Action Association
#27The pimp CAN ONLY FIND the feather off his hat, which he then tickles the spom with -
Re: Open Action Association
#28The tickled Spom sneezes, flinging ancient boogers on the entire crowd, living and dead -
Re: Open Action Association
#29The undead sizzle and burn as the holiness of the SPOM-snot hits them. -
Re: Open Action Association
#30The sizzling, burning undead melt together to form a large amorphous undead blob, which then proceeds to attack the Spom, who is wiping it's nose. -
Re: Open Action Association
#31The Spom, now armed with burning undead amorphous undead blob nose drips is able to tame the unnatural blob with them and direct its movement. -
Re: Open Action Association
#32Enraged that the continuing ruckus could cause him to miss CSI: Miami, the aquatic god Neptune threatens to unleash a devastating earthquake upon the Spom and its burning, amorphous, snotty, undead blob. -
Re: Open Action Association
#33But unfortunatly for neptune, who wanted to unleash a wave of destruction on the spom and its undead blob, Hera (zeus's girlfriend at the time) is also awakened by the ruckus, and proceeds with all hast to fly and land in the middle of this debacle, her supersonic shockwave sending everybody flying and landing on their backsides, the amorphous blob of death included.
(previously, it was unknown whether blobs of death had backsides. it is certified fact NOW :D) -
Re: Open Action Association
#34The druid, who started all of this by summoning the dirt-spirit, slowly gets up on his feet, and watches Hera whit awe shining from his eyes.
