Re: Citadel growth and user activity
#2Recent feedback suggests that new users are VERY, VERY HAPPY with the citadel.
New users drop by the chat all the time and they just loooove the site. It has never been like this before. -

#4Active members, January 2006: 30
Active members, September 2006: 34 (26 active on main page)
Edit (AG): Added the following:
-Though the active users have increased somewhat, we have lost a number of prominent users.
-The influx of new users is slow
-The quality of the submissions is incredible, way beyond when I joined in 2004. Mainstream content has been flamed to death and more exotic, jaded GM content is now prevalent. Some admins have argued that the threshold of quality might be discouraging to new users.
-In an effort to add new users, we could try to make the Citadel appealing to new users. Downloadable PDF's, maps and generators a la manfred might be just what we need. Also, even though Strolen has specifically said that we do not cater to that particular crowd: We might code something that will make PbF more appealing than what we have today. -
Re: Citadel growth and user activity
#5Hear, hear to all that. No problem with me about growing the PbF since now ALL of our real content is in the main citadel it would hurt nothing to make it easier to play. I have my pipedreams about that stuff too so would be willing to script some stuff (changeable names per thread and stuff) if that is what people want.
All the other thoughts I am more than happy to support and do what I can to make them happen too.
