#41Well, were to begin?
I discovered this site about nine months ago, merely by chance as i was browsing through google looking for resources to help with my GM'ing. All of a sudden i stumble across this rare gem.
At the time i only read through it briefly, using it only to gather ideas for campaigns etc.
Then i introduced a friend of mine; Kassy, who i often RP with to it, and now a few months on I was daragged back here, thanks to her.
Wierd, isn't it? -

#43I found this on a random web search and had actually been reading Citadel for years before 2006 when made my first post. I would grab ideas or read for fun, but it wasn't until I posted my own piece that I began to read the comments. Prior to 2006 I used stuff from Citadel as resource center. Reading the comments really changed my view of what was going on here. -

#44It is a bit like Alice in Wonderland.
Instead of the white rabbit, I followed Scrasamax into the depths of the Citadel.
Sometimes I get lost along the way. But eventually I find my way back. I just have to follow Scras.

#45I was trying to install a ceiling fan. I guess I put in in backwards or something, because when I turned it on, black smoke started pouring out of the side of it and it started making this high pitched whine. Then the whole thing spat out this distortion, like heatwaves. I turned off the light switch, but that didn't stop it from accelerating. It seemed to be doubling in speed every second, and the metal of the fan was beginning to glow from the heat. I ran out to the garage to pull the big lever on the circuit breaker, and when I got back there was just this huge, sucking hole in the center of my ceiling. My bookshelf was being pulled halfway into it and it was just going around and around, like a toilet that's not quite up to the task.
Needless to say, I got the hell out of Dodge.
But things were happening outside of the house, too. Creatures were rushing past the window, just a mouth and then 500' of wind noise and dull phosphorescence. Things that looked like blackened corkscrews were winding up through the floor in clusters. The front door burst open, and in strode a cadre of penguins, led by a captain who was neither penguin nor man but somehow both more and less than both. The moon peeled off the roof, and leveled a hunting rifle at me, with a bore that reminded me of missile silos and black holes.
Anyway, after I gave up frequent usage of hard drugs, I needed a place to indulge my safer hobbies, like DnD, and Google pointed me here. Pretty boring story, really. -

#47I, like dracklar, was a-searching for some material on the Internet. And lo and behold, I came across the Citadel. I think the first sub I saw was the spider's basin? At least, I think it was the spiders basin, and am too lazy to refine it. Anyways, after finding this place, I forgot about it for a bit, and then refound and joined this place. And ever since, I have been wowing everyone with the god-like quality of my sub, routinely getting 5/5, and getting numerous praises along the lines of "we should allow 10/5 so we can award it to caesar193."*
And then recently, I have founded the best guild the citadel has seen in the 'Guild Fever' that swept the area. The cartographer's guild was a beautiful thing, and all the Strolenites hit themselves over the head with a wet sock when they saw it, and realized they had not come up with it.*

#48I was simply spawned from a sub... or one of MoonHunters pseudopods.... either way Im here forever in some form or another. -

#49I can't remember, I've been lurking for so long. I'm willing to bet though that it was through Johnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Four's Roleplaying Tips.
Edit: But that's more how I found the site... I became a member because I was bored one day and wanted to write stuff that people could see. -

#55If anyone remembers I was brought here by clicking the seventh link of the eighth link of the unfortunate son of a coal miner's daughter... aka I was looking for posts about map making and clicked on the Cartographer's Guild post :D
