Skills: Agility
#1Accuracy
Test against this skill for:
* Thrown or fired attack rolls (e.g. crossbow, sling).
Accuracy takes the place of CP in long-distance combat.
Cutpurse
Test against this skill for:
* Picking pockets or cutting purses without being noticed.
Defensive Prowess (DP)
A skill used in the combat system. It enables you to parry, dodge and defend yourself. Armour enhances DP:
Leather armour: +10%
Ring mail: +15%
Chain mail: +20%
Scale mail: +25%
Plate mail: + 40%
Disable traps
Test against this skill for:
* Finding traps,
* Figuring out how they work,
* Disabling them without harming yourself,
* Freeing trapped individuals.
Falling
Test against this skill to halve damage from falling awkwardly. It also ensures that there are no lasting injuries like twisted ankles or broken legs, but only within reasonable height parameters (0-20m).
Pick locks
Test against this skill for:
* Creating impromptu tools for picking locks and other such fiddly jobs,
* Picking locks:
. - With impromptu tools (-10%)
. - With properly crafted tools (+5%)
Set traps
Test against this skill for:
* Setting traps. Critical failure can be pretty unsightly... -

#2Climbing
While anyone can try to climb, this skill allows a more in-depth understanding of how to climb just about anything. Walls, trees, smooth greased poles - even things which seem nearly impossible to climb can be attempted with this skill, although anything too odd is likely to net incredible modifiers.
Balance
Useful mainly when in difficult situations, Balance lets you walk along narrow ledges without much fear of falling, and allows for a potential instant recovery during combat, if knocked down or struck hard enough to throw one's balance off. -

#3Yes, climbing, balance, accuracy, and falling. No to the rest.
All of those Thief related things you said should all be decided by intelligence, as that would be the way to do it. I believe Armor would actually lower DP. Like...Its got its risks.

Agility:20
Intellect:20
Charisma:20
Okay so let's say we have a leather vest, and a chain vest, and an iron plate mail.
Leather vest: +2 AC
Chain mail: +7 AC -1 Agility
Iron Plate Mail: +15 AC -5 Agility.
It's all on weight and design as to how it functions. Something like a leather vest wouldn't mess with Agility, but heavier stuff might. Also, Brawn would affect this as well. (See category: Brawn) -

#4I have just a question, but is this forum STRICTLY related to D&D? -
Skills: Agility
#5Actually, we are strictly against any type of game system. D&D is occasionally used as a reference because people know it but we want to stay as independent as possible.
This Labyrinth thread is a stalled attempt at getting some rules down for a chat/forum/chat type game to play. Basically just a fun study/discussion about a new rule system created as we go.
