#1The baby is going to be a scheduled c-section Monday so I still have this weekend to do some more bug fixing. If you have the time I would appreciate it if you could spend a few minutes on V2.0 and browse around a little bit. Tell me what is confusing, what you couldn't find right away, any bugs that come up, etc.
Not sure when I will be back next week. She will probably be in the hospital a couple of days so won't get many chances online. I will be back the end of the week though at least to say hi. Once we get into a schedule I will figure out when I can sneak some time. I will then be off work until November 7th so the transition is coming quick. Anything you find now will make it that less painful when we do it for real.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
I WILL move the site in the next couple weeks. Ready or not we are JUMPING!!
Your help is essential to making this as non-dramatic as possible.
What I am thinking of doing is, once I figure out a couple things, is transition everything from a certain date back over. Then we can start updating the categories in the those submissions before the transition. Then when we do the transition I will just take everything after that date and move that over and we will only have to fix a few things.
No, I do not intend to mess with the forum posts right now. Lets concentrated on the meat of the site and get that working. Then we can start slowly moving forum posts over. I don't want to do too much too quick. Get a stable site going for a little bit, fix up the posts, tweak the tips, and update the FAQ and descriptions if we need to... I really want to focus on the main site for awhile and not worry about all the extras at the moment.

#2While I think this is hasty, I realize if you don't just do it, you will tinker it to death and/ or we will keep coming up with reasons not to do it "just yet".
The URL will be the same right? So when we go to Strolen.com we will go to Strolen V2.
I assume this will be hidden somewhere. We will lock the doors on the old site right? So nobody will be able to post here and will be transfered over to V2?
The forums will be shifted over at the same time? I would hate to lose all the various pieces of work I have done since the other side's forum went up.
Will the admin morphing tool be available soon... or are we waiting for a while?
I need to play with the scrolls again.
Does anyone else have some thoughts? Now is the time to shout out! -

Yes, it is hasty but you see my reasoning. It won't flop, but there will probably be things to work through and the timing is now or never as far as me being able to quickly fix things and continue to work on it.
I explained some of it before. The transition will be immediate. As soon as I decide to do it I will autoforward everything to V2.0. After about 3 days or so the name will resolve to the new site and the forwarding will be useless. From a user's standpoint, BANG, new site.
Forum will be closed and moved over just before the change so nothing gets caught in between.
The morphing tool is up and running in response to your request http://www.rpgcitadel.com/guild/index.php?topic=2635.0. Basically it is in your profile and click on update settings or whatever next to your name. It is explained more in the other thread.

#4So I am right in assuming that all basic functions are working - POST and EDIT is prinicipially all we need. :)
There are endless reasons to stay with the page we like, but I say go for it. Put a warning announcement for our small public (Your world can change without warning) and then... then we will change.
