   Hi!
   I am new here, and I came in, because I really like the idea of users "adding up their creativity" to a common benefit!
   That was exaclty what I had in mind, when I started my Project TavernMaker.
   (Free random Fantasy-Tavern-Generator based on hand-made descriptions from its users.)
   
   Now, I came to the following idea, which would create a kind of "synergy"-effect of the Idea Guild's Project and the TavernMaker Project:
   
   Why not create a "Random-Table" thread like the "Random-Plot , -Item, -etc." ?
   
   Any "posting" to this Random-Table should be just a descriptional text, what a "customer" of a tavern could see at the table.
   (I introduced something similar to my own forum, as QuickTavern.) which could look like this one:

   The people at this table are a rowdy lot. Three young noble men, by the looks of them, are having a great time drinking, making jokes, and getting fresh with the serving girls. They are laughing loudly and are clearly very drunk. Some of the other patrons are amused by their antics while others are annoyed. The Innkeeper looks to be keeping an eye on them as is the burly half-orc bouncer by the door.

   These young men are indeed noble youth. They are traveling from a festival and are making a stop here for the night before continuing their journey back to their home city. While they may seemed foolish and inexperienced, all are very handy with swords and relish a good fight. All three carry money purses, heavy with gold (200, 500, 800). One carries a fine rapier of flaming +1 and the others carry Masterwork longswords. Each wear gold signet rings that bear the symbol of their house.
   
   
   Now, a set of such "Random-Tables" would be great for the Ideas Guild, I would think. And even better: I could transfer the descriptions to the database of TavernMaker, making that program even better. How does it sound for you?

   That would be a fine idea for a thread. Feel free to go ahead and start it if you wish. I am sure it will see some action.
   
   We are rules independent though so you would probably get comments about your +1 weapon as above, but I am sure we could come up with some stuff.
   
   Make sure you get the author's permission before grabbing the stuff out of the thread though. Not sure if anybody has said no to a request, but ensure that you do ask.

   How and Where do I have to start the thread, so that the "Random Table" can appear like the "Random ITEM" "Random NPC" etc. on the main-entrance (provided there is enough traffic on the thread) ?
   
   Is it okay, if I make a "Starting" - note that all posted "descriptions" will/might be automatically included into TavernMaker?

   It won't quite make it to the frontpage, but it will make it into a main thread when we move after the rebuild.
   
   If you check out this thread http://www.rpgcitadel.com/guild/index.php?board=32.0 and see how other threads have started in a similiar vein, this is where this idea will best fit.
   
   I do apologize, I misread your first post to be suggesting adding it to the Idea Scroll, not the Idea Guild. The frontpage pulls submissions from our main categories of content, and the small descriptions for the TavernMaker wouldn't be considered full submissions so wouldn't really fit on the main site...yet. Next version allows a similiar thing that you suggest, but for now it will have to remain in the forum
