[DELETED] Notar helm
#1This has to go, but the idea of becoming rat-like in exchange for related powers is interesting... anyone willing to take it?
Notar helm | Type: Misc_Armor | is a rat skull helmet | Author: forgottengods
made of notar´s skull this helmet grants the wielder the ability to polymorph into a ratoon ( a palladium half rat half men war beast) an also have his supernatural strnghts
is like the strenghts of a giant.
Is a human size skull (only that is a ratton skull, like a rat skull) is white color with a little mohawk make of the ratton hair with runes across it face.
Magical Properties:
it can´t be destroyed
give the wielder supernatural strenght
plus nightvision, (see in total darkness)
track by smell 80%, and the legendary bite called the bite of the black death is only 2d6+2 dmg but the victim must roll a succesful save vs.magic or have the plague.(this is based on the common rat ability of spreading disease.)

Supernatural strenght, again?
How about abilities more rat-wise, like always finding some way out, even out of mazes or places after a cave-in?
Maybe the wearer suddenly likes rats, even if he has not before.

I try to stay way away from supernatural strength when I create items. Also, if an item gives such good powers, it should have some sort of downside, like a slow degradation towards rat-like behavior for this item.

Rats aren't especially strong, perhaps this is a lost item from one of their demigods or gods. I like the downside of rat-like behavior. The player starts crumpling his bedroll into a nest each night, lets his hands get all grubby and dirty, treats cheese as if it was worth more than gold.
Some other downsides would be perhaps manifesting cowardice, or more facial hair.

Rats aren't especially strong, thats why is aid is a ratoon
when kirgy the rat god losth the war against all the good gods he create a more powerfull rat is called ratoon i like a half conan - half rat and the ratoon´s serve the ratlings anothe kind of humanoid rat the ratlings aren´t warriors they more like thiefs and thery are very weak .
ratling =brain
ratoon = body
