   In the first sentence, RTF should be changed to ASCII text. The file I downloaded was not an RTF but a true text file that was probably made in word, judging from the nonprintable characters in the file when I opened it up with note pad. Either way it was smaller than the true RTF file that is downloadable with the “word� link, and the file extension is “txt.�

   rtf files have those weird characters because by definition rich text files allow formatting, but is still a txt file with formatting, hence labled rtf. So, notepad probably can't view them correctly because it is a plain text reader not a rich text reader so will show all the formatting gobbly gook because it doesn't know what to do with the formatting. Open it up in wordpad I am pretty sure it would be fine.
   
   I did do this stuff years ago and I am getting off a 16 hour shift with only 3 hours of sleep the night before so I may be too wired to say anything intelligible.

   :cry: is sad to be a fan of a game that is dying i like other systems like dn d , white wolf , etz etz but i neves find anything about palladium books only the oficcial page but there is nothing ,only the prices :wink:
   
   i dont know why i think this system is very cool so why there is nothing on the net about it like campaigns , net books and all that?

   I am equally as frustrated with the lack of a lot of material on the net. And lots of times the sites do not concentrate on the fantasy game but do the Rifts portions, and I have played it but fantasy "is my bag baby." Not so much of a problem now since I am not currently playing...

   Not the first error about this. I can't seem to make it happen for me. If you like, post the change in a PM to me and I will update it probably tomorrow. Will have to take a harder look at that and see what the deal is. Thanks for mentioning it, that makes two with the problem, and that makes it serious.

   What I should have said more clearly was that the "Text" version has a .txt fiel extention. Therefore it is assiociated with an ASCII text editor/view (notepad) and there are non printable charaters in it. Based on your statment it should be a .rtf file extention, so that the extra formating will be read by a rtf editor/viewer (word/wordpad).
   
   The "RTF" file has a .doc extention making it a defacto MS Word document. While Word can read the rtf format it is not the only way to read/edit a rtf file so it would be better with a .rtf file extention.
