I'm going to leave the game at the point where it is for a little while. My reasons are as follows: I have exams at TAFE (think university) on Tuesday and Wednesday. As such, I'm trying to keep my mindset for those exams, and not post large amounts. On wednesday night, or perhaps thursday night I will continue the story along, with or without the current posters - But I will leave them ample opportunity to catch up, which I hope they do :) -

#52Just pausing my participation in this game temporarily, as it is holidays for me, and I have family business to attend to :P
Do what you wish where the current point of time is. while they practice and wait, nothing will happen.
I'll be back on in a few days, perhaps 3-5, and will post again then to try and push the game along a bit :P
We've gotten to double digit pages in the roleplay before anything has even happened! :o

#53I am quitting the game. The reasons are that Strolen's has consumed far too much of my time. The finals are coming up and... well I am addicted to the citadel and I really, really need time to work. (I have even begun disabling my network at regular times :o )
The idea behind Aurakh was to include an inner dialogue that would reflect my setting's regret, despair and darkness.
This was a ruse! It would make you think "Ohhh... It is the usual AG yaddayadda". His regret was not about dark things, but about a love lost because of repeated extra-marital activities with a tempting and inviting woman. That dalliance had consequences and Aurakh had to leave the forest. However he was given an option to redeem himself. So nothing grand, nothing dark, only an old fool yearning for what once was.
Shadow: The game is GREAT!

I can understand IRL things taking place. But if you just up and quit a game, please let the rest of us know. It's just good manners.
I know there are finals going on and such. And many have work and school. And I know I havent posted much in Terenis or Gothic Space Horror, but come on guys. I dont like having to posted after myself. It doesnt look well when i do that. At least not in my opinion. So please, if this game has ended...could you just tell me so I will stop getting my hopes up. Thanks. -

#60Well, I quit the game for my own good. I kind of expected to become hopelessly left behind as you guys played on... Seems like I was wrong! If this status quo continues for but a month, I'll re-enter the game :shock:
It kind of seems like Shadow has put the game in a stasis (he hasn't posted anything at all for a long time). Still, it is you guys who hold the initiative. Finish your personal battles and probe onward into the forest. Could be that you'll manage to provoke a reply from Shadow :) -

#61I think that one of the reasons GSH sort of ran aground was that you, Jinx (not to be vindictive), ran off with the story! You posted over and over, and we couldn't work with it.
As for Foreboding Forest... I'm waiting for a chance to bust out kung-fu. So, y'know... -

#62Well.....the only reaso I posted like that in GSH was to keep the game going. It was suppose to be an active thread. And after awhile you get tired of waiting for your turn when everyone else is dragging their feet. Sorry if you feel that I ran the game a ground.
Perhaps it would be better if you stopped waiting for an opening to whip out the kung-fu...post now. Create your own opening. D'uh.It beats everyone standing around waiting for something to happen. [not meant to be vindictive] -

The game didn't run aground due to Scorpion, nor due to anyone else.
The game is in stasis because this is the first time i've managed to get back to this site properly in months!
And it may be another month - maybe more, maybe less - until I get a chance to get back in here properly.
So sorry for not making it official earlier, but here you go:
This Game is now in stasis due to the GM bieng unable to devote time to it.
No, I have not given up on the game, and expect everyone to be ready for when i'm able to get back to it :P
Right now I'm flat out working and with further study, but holidays come up in about a month for me. I should be back into it then.
And I'll have no throwing of blame and accusations between players, either.

Although in regards to this roleplay, I regretfully announce that it is in stasis indefinitely. One day I may re-open this game, should the players be willing, but right now I don't have the stamina :P

#70Ah man, I remember this vaguely! I was younger, and I did not have this game planned out well at all! If I end up doing Decathros well, i may consider giving this a reboot once it's finished :p
