Login problems

   There seems to be a problem with the log-in function. I'll be logged in, and have access to all of my user menus and "members only" forums, but if I try to edit or submit a submission (specifically Characters), I get a message saying I must be a registered user to submit or edit anything.

   I did change a couple of those security scripts. I will do some testing. I was able to edit and change the characters I put in but will do some more checks with and without cookies and see if that is an issue. Will read through the code again as well and see if I made something intermittent somehow.

   Couldn't duplicate it. Isolated incident or did it happen again?

   On the other hand, I can't logout.
   
   Not that bad: can't logout out of the Citadel itself. I get redirected to the forums, to:
   login.php?logout=true
   
   Unfortunately, that produces a
   General Error
   (because of an)
   Invalid_session
   
   But no problem with logout once I am on the forums.

   I get that too now that you mention it. It does log me out though, so I guess that is good.
   
   I am pretty positive that that error came about from the upgrade to 2.0.4 that I did just a couple days ago. It had about 3 pages of fixes and there were many associated with login and session propogation so I am pretty sure this is a new error from the fix. I am just glad it didn't ruin the staying logged in through the entire site.

   I have that problem with loggin out if I'm in the Citadel portion. Forums, no problem.

   I think I fixed it. Logging in anywhere but the citadel index or in the forums would give a 404.
   
   I got that working...except on pages that don't have a default index page. Like the FAQ page and a couple others. Won't be a factor on the main content pages though, they all have indexes.
   
   The logout should work anywhere now. It was a session thing so I direct logged out people to the main index. Will have to see what it does here in the forums when I logout.
   
   Let me know if you run into more problems with this. 2.0.4 fixed a lot of security issues so I don't want to go back to the old way, even though it worked better.
