Okay, what happened and do we/ should we care?
#1Thread in question.
http://www.strolen.com/items/viewitem.php?item_id=414&offset=0&order=updated&dir=Desc&index=1
The item was okay, in terms of story. The effect descriptions were in DnD-centric terms. It was not a great item, but is was not a bad item. We have kept a lot worse.
You can get a gist of things from the threads underneith.
My point for all this:
Should we care that this person could not handle responses to his post?

Do we mind that this person just flakes out?
Should we take greater care in our comments to be more helpful?
Should we do anything about this, if not for MoSoG, but for the next one that comes down the line?
Comments?
If nothing else, I think we should delete this thread soon:

#2I think that, though it cannot hurt for the regulars to be less scathing in their posts, m0s0g is blowing this a bit out of proportion. I mean, if everyone left because one person critisized their post, we'd have about three people in here, probably. -

#4Look, seriously, now-
Deadwood eliminated. He had, what, two submissions? And if he couldn't stand a little criticism, albeit a little harsh (I guess it was harsh; I thought I was just being concise. It didn't seem like a particularly mean comment to me.), well, I don't think we need him around here, do we?
I, personally, think we should keep the "Shadow's Bane" around just for the comical value. :) -

#5I don't really miss the guy. Yet looking at the few forum posts he has added, and the item itself, I think there was some hope with this user.
Should we take greater care in our comments to be more helpful?
YES.
And as for deadwood, most active users have only a few submissions. Those that keep posting, often improve over time. This one will not.
Consider this: kalabar stays, m0s0g leaves. Is it such a great thing?
I think we, (the Administrators) should take more action: it gets rarer for us to comment on a new submission. Our dear Captain has a lot of critique for everyone, we should not not leave him alone!
