Moon Stone
#202OOC: So I see! I have invited him back to his old PC with a few prerequisites of course! Also Luke when you say "The dark gates loomed omninous before them, " Which gates are you talking about because we are supposed to be going through the gutter entrance so that we meet back up with Skene and Strath. I mean there could be gates else were in the town, but I am just confused? OH, in case some of you are having trouble picturing it I didn't describe it well, it looks like a tunnel made of stone that is tall enough for a man to stand up straigh in a small stream passes through the middle of it, but it grows to a raging river when the snow from the mountains melts during the spring!
IC: Strath grabbed his leg and looked at Skene blushing a bit he averted his eyes "I have sprained my ankle, I will need you to go out to the woods and get me two striaght peices of wood to use as a splint." He then used hi his hands to push himself against the wall, " I will also need a longer stick to use as an aid for walking please make haste." As Skene left the guttter Strath was thinking quietly to himslef. was it that obvious,[I/] the thought to himself could this Sorceress who knew nothing of him see his longing so easily. Now, Skene knows, what if he tells Luna. I will have to speak with him about that.
The other words that the Sorceress said lingered in his mind while the gutter remained slilent except for the slow trickling of water. Soon The others should be reaching the entrance soon. -

#203OOC: Ah ok... I'm a little confused too...
Aldan's hand itched as bent his head and stepped into the dank dark passage. A little streeamlet of watter ran down the middle under their feat. The stench was over powering. Without another look back Aldan plunged into the dark, the smelly and dark tunnel was another gate into or out of the city. They encounted a rusty grate halfway down the tunnel, he pulled out his pommel, fire briefly illuminated the tunnel then with a blinding glare Aldan cut the grate and kicked it in. There was a loud clatter and they plunged in after Skene and Strath. -

#204Rad lowered the old musty hood of his robes, then wished he hadn't. ''This place smells worse than a midden'' he growled. ''Do humans have to stink up everything they build?''
Then he noticed the pale, terrified expression on Strath's face. ''What's the matter, elf? Saw a rat that was bigger than it ought to to be?'' he asked sardonically. -
Moon Stone
#205Strath looked Contemptously at Rad, " No I have sprained my ankle, and we were visited here by the Sorceress Astoria herself, if you really must know. Is everyone alright with in your group were you followed?" Strath's face was pale and stricken with sweat. His eye's lingered on Luna for a moment longer than everyone else.
Luna now came to his side, " I don't think we were followed but, why don't we get you out of here and into some fresh air she looked around where is Skene?"
"I sent him out to get some wood for a walking stick and a splint. He should be back shortly."
"Aldan can you help Strath stand up please. Rad will you help Faith out of the tunnel; the ground gets a little uneven up ahead. Atal and I can grab the bags. Lets hurry the quicker we get out of this stench the better!" -
Moon Stone
#206Skene stayed strangely quiet as he went to gather the two sticks. He looked around for a while until he found them hanging slightly on a tree. He gently, not wanting to make noice, broke them off and brought them to Strath. He sighed and looked around, his eyes scanning for their friends. -
Moon Stone
#207Aldan took the pieces of wood and placed them on the side of Strath's ankle and lower leg, "This may hurt a little," He ripped two strips of clothings from the bottom of his leggings and tied them up with the pieces of wood. He tied it up very tight, he stripped off the fancy shirt and handed back Luna her ornament.
"You can pull off nobility better than the rest of us, I'll need to help Strath here." He helped the elf up and hoisted his arm over his shoulders balancing him. He placed the flat of his pal over the man's back and sent a gentle stimulating wave into him.
"Come on, let's get out of here." -
Moon Stone
#208Rad nodded. Turning to Faith,he rasped ''Alright then, old woman, lean your right arm on my shoulder. It will be big enough to support you. Like Luna said, the faster we get out of here, the better. Right now,I really feel like putting a lot of distance between my self and that witch. I just hope she dosen't send minions to follow us.'' This was followed by a weary sigh. Great, the last thing they needed was a sorceress of unrivalled power and ruthlesness on thier tail, Not for the first time,Rad wondered if his dreams of power were going to lead him to an early death. -
Moon Stone
#209The group trekked out of the tunnel and found themselves one again in the wood land. Luna and Aldan had went hunting for dinner as Faith and Atal set up camp. Strath sat and nursed his injured Ankle and then helped build a fire. Rad had just returned from a quick scout ahead, and Skene sat sharpining his daggar so he could prepare the meat. All members had donned their new cloaks and felt much warmer for it. Strath Coughed and limped over to were Rad stood he whispered,
" Luna told me what you did for her, Before this I will not lie I had my doubts about trusting you, Luna tells me that she trusts you and that is enough for me, you have my trust please do not forsake it." He limped away stopping briefly to say something to Skene.
"Skene You and I are the only two to have heard the Sorceress's message I would appreciate it if you were not to mention the part having to do with me and my feelings toward another member of our group, no matter how obvious it is."
With this Strath noticed that Aldan and Luna were on their way back with a large wooly mountain goat. " We eat well tonight!" Luna called! -
Moon Stone
#210Well,that had been a suprise. Who'd have thought that young Strath, true elven ranger and draconian loather that he was, would ever say such a thing to him? But then he reflected,Strath worshipped Luna. If Luna trusted Rad,then so could he. The sivak had seen that look of adoration in Strath's eyes as he sometimes looked on her. Rad idly wondered where that would lead, though it was not like he really cared. And as for Luna herself, she had come to see Rad as her friend. It made the sivak feel uncomfortable. He was not fammiliar with such trust, did not deserve it. Yes,he did not deserve it.
She's just another tool.Rad,just like all the other tools you've used in your long life. All you really care about is the Stone and yourself. That elf boy shouldn't have put his doubts away. He was right to treat you like the vile monster you are.
The little voice in his head just wouldn't shut up. He tired to block it out,but to no avail. Giving a sigh,he walked off to where Skene sharpened his knife. Maybe the knight would have some spirits with him, good, strong spirits, the sort that would numb his mind. -
Moon Stone
#211Skene smiled and nodded. He understood Strath's problem," You're secret is safe with me." He went back to sharpening the knife while whistling softly, in high spirits -
Moon Stone
#212Rad lowered himself next to Skene on his scaly haunches. ''Sir Knight,do you have any strong spirits with you? It's be too long since I last tasted a god brew.'' -
Moon Stone
#213Skene looked up at Rad and raised an eyebrow. From Caladin, he had heard nothing of strong spirits, but he suddenly knew what he meant from brew. He pulled from his pack a large leather flask. He started to hand it over to Rad but stopped, I warn you, I retrieved this from the Dejy, and they are some of the best drinkers I've seen. The drink is made of a paralyzing poisen and once you drink it, you will be paralyed for a short time and have a heavy drunk affect on you. But after that, the drink is heavy, but delicious." -
Moon Stone
#214Rad snorted, ''Don't want to share your liqour with me,eh,knight? If a frail human can survive drinking that brew, then a sturdy sivak like me certainly can. The Dark Queen knows, the few places where I was ever welcome to drink were run by goblins and they served a brew that would scald your very insides.'' -
Moon Stone
#215Skene laughed softly and handed it to Rad slowly," As you wish. May you possibly share these travels with me. I have only seen home and that is it. This is my first time away from my beloved Caladin." -
Moon Stone
#216''I've been to a lot of different places,Knight. Wherever the draconian armies marched,I went too. Seen a lot of things in my 65 years of living.'' Rad took a long swig from the bottle Skene had handed him. Ahh,it tasted so good, even dwarf spirits would have been hard pressed to beat it. Then it hit him. A wave of icy coldness swept through his body, rendering him unable to move even the smallest muscle. Much to his embarassment, his large tounge was now hanging limply from his mouth like that of a wolf or large dog. -
Moon Stone
#217Aldan helped Luna carry the goat into the camp, he set two stakes in the ground next to a barren patch of ground and with the twitch of his left hand a bolt of purple lightining arced through the air and dark blue flames sprouted into existance on the barren ground. With a scout efficany he set about skinning the goat and cutting it up, he put the four legs on the stick over the fire, he grabbed another stake and put the carcass on it. He put two more stakes in the ground created the same flames that produced little light and smoke and set the carcass cooking.
He wiped his brow and sat down, "If only we had something to season it with..." -
Moon Stone
#218Atal shook himself from the light sleep that occassionally possesses the aged. He looked around, his eyes rimmed with red, and bleary from the excursion into the keep. Had he seen Astoria, or had they escaped unnoticed? How good was their luck?
"Eyah, its getting cold. More wood for the fire. Warm an old mans bones. You silly children, playing with strong drink." He jabbed Rad with the point of his shoe while the muscular sivak lay paralyzed from Dejy poison-liquor.
"Gather herbs, for the goat I will." Atal said, pushing along with his gnarled stick, his leather bag slapping his leg as he hobbled along. "more wood, there should be when I return." -
Moon Stone
#219The paralyzing efface of the liquor had lasted for only five minutes, but that five minutes had seemed to last for a very long time. Wuiith a visible effort,Rad got to his claed feet shakily and stood a little unsteadily, just letting the liquor course through his veins. Then he remembered that his tounge was still hanging slack in a very silly way and slugishly withdrew it back into his mouth.
Normally, the sivak would have felt mortified to be seen in such a state by those he saw as weaklings, but right now with the Dejy liquor singing sweet lullabies in his head, shame would have had a hard time peircing the fog that had settled around his brain.
''Heh,heh, did you hear the old man call me a little child? That, when I'm not that much younger then he is. '' he commented with the thick accent of the drunk, before breaking into a harsh chukle.
''Ahh,well,I'm hungry now. This Dejy drink gives one a ravening apetite,it does.'' He shuffled over to the fire and stared drunkenly into the fire, impatient for the meat to be cooked suffeciently, not understanding that this would not be for some time yet.
Wait a minute. Was that a face he was seeing in the flames? It looked like Luna's,sporting as it did her long, elven locks. Maybe he should take a closer look...It was gone now,as suddenly as it had appeared. Was it something he should tell the others about? No,that would be unecessary. The Dejy drink was just making him have visions that meant nothing. What would he see next, the Stone in his hands? He shook hs scaly head, chuckling. Ahh,blessed be the one that had brewed this wonderful drink. Thanks to that Dejy,he would have sweet dreams tonight. -
Moon Stone
#220Skene like good kind hearted man he was, didn't say nothing as to embarres the sivak. He just put his head down and with an extra canteene of the drink, he drunk deeply of it, having gotten used to it several years ago. Skene sat back against the ground setting his drink down he started to sharpen his knife once more. He remembered another of his, it seemed, omnipresent father; Oversharpen The Blade, The Blade Becomes Dull.
Skene sheathed the knife and with a soft and musical voice sung out in a different language. Even he didn't know what he was singing. Another Dejy hymn it seemed, but they said the one had dated back to the Legendary Kasmir who sung it marching into battle. The Kasmir were an ancient people, but all wiped out. They were experts at the use of magic, but had grown arrogant so they had been anniliated. -
Moon Stone
#221Strath sat looking into the fire In the distance he heard a soft singing that was beautiful but quickly drowned out by Skene, as he looked into the fire he saw or atleast he thought he saw a familiar face, Astoria. As soon as he thought he saw it... it had disapeared. He looked at the goofy expression on Rad's face had he seen it too, or was her face just haunting him? He would make sure he asked Rad later.
Meanwhile, Luna had snuck off into the woods to gather more wood. She too began singing. She sung a song of hope and longing for a boy who only exsists in her dreams.
"Let me sleep,
For when I sleep,
I dream that you are here youre mine,
and all my fears are left behind.
I float on air,
The nightingale sings gentle lullabies,
So let me close my eyes,
And sleep a chance to dream,
So I can see the face,
I long to touch, to kiss,
But only dreams can bring me this
So let the moon shine,
Softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams
He'll dream of me
Ill hide beneath the clouds
That whisper to the evening star
they tell me love is just a dream away...
Dream Away...
I'll dream away
So let the moon shine,
Softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams
He'll dream of me.....
He'll dream of me."
As the song ended and the music that beat so strongly in her mind died, she was saddened. Raspantel had said she might find him someday, she hoped that day was soon. Her arms heavy ladden with wood she returned to camp. she laid the wood down next to the fire throwing on a few logs.
Then she sat her eyes on the fire , lost in her own thoughts. -
Moon Stone
#222Aldan had also gone out to collect wood and when the singing had reached his ears he had thought perhaps a nymph was in the woods. When he had discovered it was Luna singing he simply listened and as she amde her way back he gathered up some braches and cut off a few braches from trees to make it seem he had more than he had spent time searching for. He wanted to speak to her to advise her maybe and compliment her, but he kept his mouth shut the lyrics had not been intended for his ears.
He sat down heavily far from the rest at the very edge of the fires heat, he sat with his back to the fire watching the road and night sky. Stars twinkled in their mysterious way, tiny pinpricks of light in the heavens like candles almost. It was the night of the new moon, so the night was very dark with the starlight and firelight the only aides. He let the cloak of his power the dam on his river to the Dragon fall away. It was like he had been seeing in black and white only, with a sudden rush he felt the pulses of life in the night. Dark rage brewed far to the south of them but he wasn't worried about that, the Sorcerous of that Keep would not risk leaving her tower.
And sleep a chance to dream,
So I can see the face,
I long to touch, to kiss,
But only dreams can bring me this
So let the moon shine,
Softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams
He'll dream of me
Ill hide beneath the clouds
That whisper to the evening star
they tell me love is just a dream away...
Dream Away...
I'll dream away
So let the moon shine,
Softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams
He'll dream of me.....
He'll dream of me.
The song kept playng over and over in his head, his head noded sideways and he fell asleep. He dreamt Luna was singing again except she was singing to him instead, and he was trying to say that he was her reality not her dream. The Knight and Draconian were dancing around the fire drunkenly, and Atal with Strath were discussing the contents of a love potion. Aldan sat there watching it all happily, he got up to turn the pig in the fire when the dream changed.
He stood alone in pitch black chasm a deep basso dark laughter filled the room. He saw a single fireblade illuminate the night when a woman's voice screamed his name.
"AAAAAALLLLLLLLDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!!"
He awoke with a start the stars had traveled across the night sky and his forehead was beaded with a cold clamy sweat. -
Moon Stone
#223Skene's voice faded away as he laid back on his back and looked up to the sky his hands coming to rest behind his head. He had suffered from impunity as being a son of a Lord, but now he was in a new land and would now be charged with the Penal Laws of lands if there was any in these lands. He couldn't tell. His time here had been breif and his joining with the group too quick to comprehend for him.
Skene sat up once more and stood up as he needed to clear his mind. Maybe to sharpen his skills with the blade would be nice. He made his way into the forest part way and took out his knife. He carved a target on it and started to make his way fifty feet away. In the dark, the target could almost not be seen, but Skene could see it. He held the knife by the blade and with power and speed threw it. It landed right in the middle of the target making a thud.
Skene smiled slightly, excellant. If he could do that every time, he would have no use of the long sword, but moving targets were another thing. H had heard of the mysterious Anawaith Rangers once, and they were legendary at their skills of killing and protecting their forests. The newly discovered country of Andune was a major discovery to Caladin and it was too powerful to take, so the country had left it alone despising the elves. But Skene was fascinating by them and their gracefulness. -

#224Luna began to hand out dinner, careful to save a healthy protion for Skene, It had been perfectly seasoned and was delicious. "I will take the first watch, tonight. The rest of you should get some rest."
"Luna is right my dears, we have a long day of traveling tomorrow," Faith interjected.
Luna got up and moved to the outer halo of light put forth from the fire. Her back to it. She could hear the others calling their watches and settling into there make-shift beds.
She glanced down at her hand and light glowed on her fingertips. little balls of luminous fire jumped from one to the other, this was an idle activity she usually played to pass the time. If one didn't know any better it would look as though fire-flies were dancing for her in the dark night. she Sighed she hadn't even heard who was on watch with her. She glanced back over her shoulder and saw Aldan sitting at the other end of the camp his back to the fire. She wondered why he had chosen first watch she knows she saw him nodding off earlier. She knew why she had taken first watch she was scared of what she wouldn't find in her dreams. What if Davynn wasn't there again tonight? she could only remember what she saw in Raspantel's home:
His dark wind swept eyes his intense blue eyes bathed in that silver white light. He was bowing to someone, but who is it for this purpose that she has not seen him for such a long time. " He is real isn't he" that was it all she could say to Raspantel, but Raspantel knew, "She believed me, how could a boy from a dream, even a such a realistic dream be real?" She would have to find him. She remembered the pouch that Raspantel had laid in her palm that afternoon. She didn't know what it contained, she dare not open it yet, she just felt that it was not yet time. Her curiosity begged her to look at it, but she wouldn't... not yet.
She sighed and began to hum the same song gently to herself careful not to wake the others. Watching and waiting for where this journey will next take her. -

#225Aldan gazed off into the night drawing from the Dragon to stay awake, it was a power that would backfire adventually but only if he did it a couple days in a row. He was just afraid of sleep right now, afraid of the screams. Part of him wished he could remember his younger years, part of him was scared to death of it.
He felt Luna's gaze on him, the soft tune started again. Maybe it was a bane to have this power because part of him would always know reality from dreams. For once he'd like to believe his dreams. Aldan left his food untouched his stomach was to unsettled to eat. -
Moon Stone
#226Skene nodded and rolled to once side as he closed his eyes slowly. Though he could not sleep. He sighed and sat up once more as he looked into the flames as he picked up a twig and stoked it through the flames. His restless spirit wanted us to get going now. -
Moon Stone
#227Rad was already snoring by the fire, when Luna gave the orders for those not on watch to sleep. But the Dejy brew did not deliver the sweet dreams it had promised.
Always it seemed, the face he had glimpsed in the fire followed him, reaching out with tentacles made of mist. And as he tried to shove them away, they wrapped themselves around his scaly wrists, dragging him slowly towards their owner.. -
Moon Stone
#228OOC: My posts mauy be a little skimpy atleast through the weekend (the play I am in is this weekend!!) Plus homework and school calls thanks!
IC: As Rad lay there asleep strath waited impatiently They had offered to take the last watch together, but an uneasy feeling made him feel as though he had to know what he saw now. Feeling a bit silly he went over to where Rad lay sleeping fitfully; He shook him. " Rad, Rad," he called in a muffled voice, "Rad" It wasn't untill he reached out his and and placed it on his scaly shoulder that rad responded. Rad grabbed Strath's wrist in a tight grip as he sat up ready to defend himself. " Seeing who it was he released Strath and looked at him fire in his reptilian eyes. Strath rubbed his aching wrist and looked at the draconian, "I was wondering if you and I could go for a small walk were we might speak privately. Away from the fire?" Strath awaited His answer. -
Moon Stone
#229''You have seen it too then?'' Rad asked, his voice close to trembling. ''It wasn't the drink, then. Very well,I will walk with you. Perhaps you will give me some answers.'' -
Moon Stone
#230Aldan had fallen into a light sleep, a dreamless sleep that was visited often by the sounds of the night. He opened his eyes as Rad and Strath rose and went to investigate something. He almost moved, but he gazed at the resting forms of Luna, Atal, and Faith. He unraveled himself after the others departed he drifted over to the embers of the fire that had died out.
A sudden gust of wind carried through the trees and Aldan placed a hand on the hilt of his sword. With a flick of his wrist and invisible blast of spiritual energy, "Nightmares are not welcome here."
The wind rustled again the trees rustled again but in a departing wave that blew away from the fellowship of campers. -
Moon Stone
#231Luna keeping to her post looked behind her as Strath and Rad Moved away from the camp. She stopped playing with the lights that rested now on the tips of her fingers. "We ought to get that fire going again or we will be mere frozen cubes of meat before morning." Luna walked over to the fire and placed a few logs together she then let the fire that had rested on her fingertips jump on the wood and take to it greedily. She looked at Aldan, "you feel it to don't you? Something is not right here," She looked at the sky, No longer was it clear, deep dark-set clouds had developed over head. "It will rain tomorrow." Luna stated in an unemotional tone. "It will be one of the dreariest days I have seen in years. The fire, That is what isn't safe One should watch it the other patrol the border of the camp. I will patrol the border you study the fire and see if anything unusuall is revealed to you. She lifted her fingers once more and the small dancing lights appeared once more on their tips.
Meanwhile, Strath and Rad had taken a forest path and decided to gather more wood as they were already out. Strath looked at the draconian and said, " I believe you and I saw something this afternoon in the fire, I believe it was the face of the Sorcerress Astoria. She mentioned in the cave that she intended to keep an eye on our group and learn the secret of the power that resides there. I believe she is of course talking about the moonstone's power. We must makesure that it is not mentioned or used until we find away to rid ourselves of this woman. However this may prove difficult, if we tell the others not to mention it and she overhears she may make life difficult for us hoping to make us reveal the power by using it. So we must just revert the conversation about such things. Luna and Aldan have a sensitivity to the natural and supernatural world it would not suprise me to learn that the have already sensed danger..." as this was said Strath's keen elf ears picked up a sharp squealing noise. "quickly he grabbed Rad's arm we must go." The had traveled further from camp than they should have. The complete darkness and undergrowth of the forest mattered little for Strath's eyes, but it apparently meant little to the creature who was persuing them as well. Straths injured anklw was making it hard for him to manuvere in the forest path when at last he fell. He motioned to Rad to go and warn the camp. Jut then a Boar the size of a fattened cow came rampaging through the trees directly toward Strath. He looked again at Rad "GO! GO, DAMN IT WARN THE OTHERS!" -
Moon Stone
#232By the Dark Queen's Heads, what was that monstrosity! It was more than
a simple boar, that much was for sure. What could have warped what had once been a simple beast of the forest, into something that hideous and deformed?
These panicked thougts ran through Rad's head as he quickly put a susbsantial part of the forest between himself and the monster. He had no intention of sharing Strath's fate. Poor elf. He may hane not cared for the woud-be warrior, but he didn't deserve that fate, annoying as he might have been. As for himself,he hoped that he'd run fast enough to lose himself in the forest. That was unlikely though. That thing could see and hear as well as any elf. He could only hope that the act of killing Strath would delay it long enough for him to reach camp.
At last he could spot the fire glowing some way away. Panting with both exhuastion and fear,he skidded to a stop next to the astonished Luna and grabbed her arm, careful not to hurt her with his claws.
''Danger on the way. Strath is dead I think..'' he wheezed. ''Get Aldan and Skene to arm themselves. If it finds the camp,we will have to fight it off. Flee into the forest and you will die for sure.'' -
Moon Stone
#233''Danger on the way. Strath is dead I think..''
In his heightened state of sensitivity he had tremor of terror that pierced the void like a rock thrown into a pound. By the time Rad's words had reached their ears he was already running full sprint into the woods. His sword hilt in his right hand and a meter of white fire lighting the way. As the wild boar bored down on Strath, Aldan reached out with his left hand he punched the air and an invisible wall of kinetic energy smashed into the boar diverting it's initial charge past Strath to his left. Aldan ran by scorching it's hife with his sword, he stood a few meters from it using his sword like a flare drawing it's eyes.
He could predict the very moment when it would charge, it came when the boar charged his sword to his left. He brought it down in slashing chop but in the last moment the boat juked left then right. It's tusk gouged his side, blood, gore, and bone chips spattered everywhere. There was a sizzling sound as the sword of fire decapitated the boar.
Aldan felt time slow, he heard dark laughter echoing the woods but the world pitched and he fell backwards the forest ground was kind and soft. The light of his sword flickered and died, in the night he could here activity but the boar's mamoth visage eclipsed his view of the others. He felt a tightness in the left side of his chest, the world grayed out and he passed out. -

#234Rad watched, too shocked to speak,as Aldan rushed into thwe forest to confront the terro that was out to slay them. When he finally got his voice,he begun to bellow''You fool! You can't fight it off by yourself! You'll die!''
But it was too late. Aldan was already lost to sight by then. Rad gave a weary sigh. Atal had to be informed that they'd just lost one member of their group with another never likely to come back alive from his sucide mission.
He walked over to where the old man slumbered and kicked him lightly. ''Wake up,old man. We have a crisis on our hands.'' -

#235OOC: Sorry it has been so long since my last post, but school is keeping me pretty busy! So here goes. I read it I know I did that part just must not have registered, thanks Mag and Luke! you guys had better keep me in check if you don't who will??? :D
IC: Luna heard what Rad had said and she quickly followed Aldan into the forest. Strath had been her friend since the beginning of her very exsistence. She would not see him slain by some common pig. She quickly caught up with Aldan and Saw the "Common Pig" Slain at her feet. She looked at Aldan, Who was also blacked out laying next to the pig. Strath's chest was moving mildly up and down he was scratched and had a rather nasty bruise on his head < this will account for his unconsciousness,> However, other than that he miraculously has no other more serious injuries. She pulled his large heavy limp body from the ditch onto the flat of his back. Luna then Summoned water to wash his and Aldan's wounds. She closed her eyes and whispered words unlike any others words that reflected the sound of a babbling brooke and water just started to bubble in her hands. She quickly and methodically cleaned and dressed their wounds using small strips of her now rugged shirt sleeves. She spoke only to the silence and herself, " I need to get them back to camp, but i do not want to leave one hear alone and defensless. I just have an eerie feeling about this place. Luna looked around and saw that the boar had broken many low lying tree branches in his persuit of Strath." She found two of the longest branches and tied them together with a bit of rope she had strapped to her waist. She then lay the bodies on them tying them with the other bit of rope, and began slowly dragging thm back to the encampment.. "Luna looked at the faces of her two comrades. They both slept, however, there sleep looked as if it were torchered.
Atal gave the order for everyone to quickly prepare to leave once again, The sky was growing dark and gray and the first look of rain was in the air. Atal warned, " the use of magic, however limited it was will be enough to draw the Sorceress to us we must hurry -

#237Aldan's rest was tortured at best, the dream was in the dark towers of a fortress. On the cold stone floor he laid supine, blood was everywhere it gurgled from a wound in his chest. There the clink and thud of heavy booted feet with spurs walking over. One of the massive boots planted itself on his chest and Aldan thought he would collapse with pain.
"You are beaten." The masked visor hissed to him, it's pale red fireblade held bare inches from Aldan's face, the blade plunged down and Aldan woke. He breathing heavily being dragged, his ribs were inflamed with pain he must of broken one Aldan suspected he. He stood on unsteady feet. His face was pale and sweaty, his forehead hot to the touch but his hands ice cold.
"I'm fine... we'll move faster if you lot don't have to drag me around." He managed to get out. -

#238Lun awent over to him and Touched her hand to his head. "Your burning up with fever, If you won't let me drag you then at but this on your head..." she sqeezed her hands together and when they opened again a ball of ice rested in them, "here" She ran over and got a stick that was the appropriate hieght for a walking stick, Lean on this we must hurry back to the camp." The rain will be here soon she thought to herself. We must find good shelter before it arrives. She grabbed the limb with Strath tied on and continued dragging it, it was much easier without Aldan's extra weight. She watched him carefully and made sure he was not but a few feet behind her. -

#239Aldan had been lucky to survive,Rad thought sourly. His stupidity in confronting the boar alone had not only injured him almost to the point of death, but had also given away their location to the witch Astoria, thanks to his magic. Just like a damned magic user to bring down all this trouble on them. Sure, what he had done was noble and brave, putting his life on the line to rescue Strath's,but it had also dealt a serious set back to their quest.
And now it looked like he would delay them further. Rad rolled his eyes,as Aldan hobbled along pathetically with his cane. At this rate,it would take them months to reach the safe spot Atal had in mind. Muttering words that weren't too polite,he walked over to Aldan and grabbed his shoulder. ''Don't try to be a hero again, paladin. Once was enough. Lean on my shoulder for support. I'm strong and with my help, you won't be crawling along at a snail's pace. ''

#240"Alright... but don't call me Paladin I've been alround long enough to have some salt." He said jokingly, leaning on Rad he moved faster than an old crippled man at least.
His connection to the Dragon was still completely shut off, otherwise he would have refreshed himself. This state of exhaustion blocked any of his abilities and left him sepetable, what he needed was sleep but he felt to guilty of Luna draggin him and Strath.
"Just keep moving I'll keep up.."
