   they were plain, browny-grey dusty and OLD, she grimaced as she looked down at them "well i suppose these will have to do" she let them fall to the side of her, way to big for her, but then she would have room to hide weapons, she looked around the top was way to baggy and if she could find just a lash of the same matireal maybe she could make a plain belt so the clothes wouldn't keep falling down, she snatched a bit of the bed, and tied it quite tightly so the clothes hugged her body more, they still looked scruffy but they would HAVE to do "and he thinks that they will let me in in this gear" she sniggered, after all, she need not sneack around trying to get in to Pelan, her unkle was one of the high-elf's there, but she still had to be carefull, she knew that if the mage found out where she was then he would come for her again, "mind he won't just give up, he will keep coming after me intill i am dead, inless i find a way to kill him first" she said quietly to herself, she threw the lose bit of material in her hand to the side and exited the room "well is that better" she said to serraph, "will i fit in now?" she twirled her face in a small sarcastic smile, "well if i am to fit in with the public, i will need some new weapons, because going out with a pure silver bow is a sure sign of royalty of person of high status right" she twirled the bottom of her torn rags and smiled sweetly, "im not all sugar and spice and everything nice you know" she said looking back as she walked down the stairs "AND I AM NOT STUPID" she called up the stairs, pulling the belt tighter she turned bumping head first into Lucanus "sorry," she said smiling sweetly "i don't know what he is doing up there but i have to go and buy some more weapons because mine would stick out a bit to much" she smiled again "you can come if you want, but i think he wanted to see you or something i don't know" and with that she left.

   OOC: Callista I gave you a clothes description in a PM. I will be using those a lot more so make sure to check those for messages.
   
   IC: So much for ditching the monk. He did not even notice Serraph when he walked inside the building. That was a good thing. That might mean that the monk was not the most adept person at spotting irregularities, and with his gung-ho attitude, that was probably a good thing.
   
   As for Callista, well that was certainly amusing. She had clearly not looked at who she was talking to except maybe with her peripheral vision, because the only thing up there even remotely humanoid was a hat-rack with a coat on it. Serraph had been just outside the house. He could barely contain his laughter as she went about trying to prove to everybody that she was not stupid, only to have her conversation with a hat-rack. As she walked out of the house he spoke.
   
   "Bout time you came around to my way of thinking" he said as she walked out the door. "but we have to get moving. My diversion will only last so long, and i don't want to bump into you're little friend again. So how about you take some of this face paint, and put it on your bow, and then unstring it so that it looks like a walking stick."
   
   "Do it quickly though, we really must be going."
   
   He figured that he would let the whole hat-rack thing go. If he made her feel even more insecure, then she would only try even harder to prove her worth, and only make even more stupid mistakes in the process. He could not have that.

   Callista looked stunned "a walking stick? but why?" she picked up her bow and began to paint it with the face paints, she carefully unhooked the strings, and folded them up neatly inserting them into a little pocket she had hidden away, she put it down on the ground "will that do she asked, most of it was covered except for little parts, she looked at her hands and like a little girl, screamed "eughhhhh my hands are dirty" she whiped them down the front of her rags making them look even worse then they already did, she moaned slightly as she walked forward a step or two.

   Lucanus followed quietly behind them, and so it was the manipulator, the heroine, and the monk set off on their quest to where they were going. Probaly to die very painfuly and not at all fast by the hand of the mysterious Black Mage.
   
   Lucanus chewed that over for a bit while the paranoid little rat-man got his jollies off of making them look like idiots. If the speck of dirt would look more than two steps in front of his nose maybe he'd realiae what danger there was out there, that probaly threatened every living thing in this world.

   Callista looked behind her at the mage and smiled sweetly "you ok back there?" she asked smiling a bit wider, she moved her hair back and tied it up with a black bow into a loose ponytail which went everywhere if she moved it, she stoped for a moment "hey why do we have to start now and how long will it take?" she stared at serraph and awaited his reply.

   "It will be a two day journey to Pellan. We will stop off tonight at a little place i know and then be off again come tomarrow morning."
   
   "We are leaving now for two reasons. One, i have set up a diversion in case the black mage is keeping track of us, and that diversion has no doubt worn out. Second, the faster we get to Pelan, the faster you will be safe from the dark mage, the faster i do not have to worry about escorting you to Pelan, and the faster you can read your fairy tales and whatever else you want to do there." said the five foot nine old man as he hobbled along in a quick, but steady gait.
   
   "I believe that it is in everbody's mutual best interests to get to Pelan as quickly as possible."
   
   "And the walking staff looks fine."

   Callista nodded and countinued to walk, the clothes she was wearing were actully quite comfortable, and she could easily move in them, now there was nothing for them to do.

   Lucanus nodded with Serraph, then he felt it. Not the dark mage but someitnhg else it was a minion of somesort. In the trees traacking them, like a little tick.
   
   Lucanus was about to not say anything then he felt another and another and another...
   
   "Serraph, Callista." He said quietly, "Run now."

    Callista looked at him and then she felt it to about 12 in total were now above there heads, she pushed past serraph and began to run jumping over fallen branches, and swrving around tree's occasinaly turning to see if the others were following.

    Lucanus grabbed the scruff of Serraph's shirt and started running, justa s the first few arrows lanced out at them.
    
    "Split up! They'll pin us down if we're all together." He tossed Serraphs after Callsita and trampled down a branching trail.

    Callista nodded and watched as Lucanus ran the other way, she did not like seperating but it would probably be the best way of confusing the enemy, she ran as fast as she could jumping and swerving

    As the monk grabbed the collar of Serraphs cape, Serraph reacted by crouching down, and in the same motion, drawing and slicing upwards with his sword, slashing at the monks wrist, which would effectively sever the tendons in his hand and a main artery as well.
    
    It was not necessarily Serraphs desire to hurt the monk, but simply a move of self defense which had become natural to Serraph.
    
    Throwing the cape off (but still in the cloak and on his jointed stilts) he went into a full run towards the forest. As he ran, he knew that anything might trip him and he was fully prepared to fall in such a way that would land him back on his feat unharmed.
    
    He was making his path almost parallel to the elf. He was still in charge of getting her to Pelan. It would not do for her to die.

    Xavier was waiting in the forest, having heard and felt the comotion he came to the edge of the forest and watched the people. He smirked and unsheathed his sword, he would help these people no doubt, but how to make them notice him? He had an idea. He brought his hand up into the air and a lightning bolt shot through the trees and hit his hand lighting his form up, if they had noticed he waved his hand for them to follow, and he waited for them to come to him

    A mage, another bloody amge Lucanus thought, well he obviously wanted us to follow him, to a trap or safety Lucanus didnt really know. He dodged away and doubled back on one of the twelve archers in the forest. He was on the shootist before it realised what was happeninig.
    
    It was a mishappen little thing, Lucanus was disgusted by it a Dark Elf. Lucanus cocked one fist and smashed the little buzzerd's head in. It fell unconsious but maybe dead, he snatched up the little dark elf and ran after the elf.

    He waited there for a while, his sword in his hand as he waited, they were blind or obviously dull, if he had wanted to attack them he would have already. He shook his head, keeping his hat covering his head

    Callista had noticed the mage and had started to run towards him ducking out of the way of a swinging branch, she stopped just before him hands on knees breathing heavily "12,..... of ...... them" she said in uttered gasps, she pulled her sword from her back ready to fight just in case, also watching the mage to see what he would do first.

    He nodded and sheathed his sword, he started tapping his fingers in the air and suddenly black fire surrounded his hands, he brought them close to his face, and she could see just a glimse of a navy blue face and violet eyes. He shot out the fire and it must of hit some of the enemy, because screams filled the air

    she watched him intently, watching every move he made, where were the others had they got lost? she searched around the forest floor for them, but not being able to see them she gave up and looked back at the mage.

    He shrugged, she had taken him too lightly, she knew nothing about him save his name, he could of been working for the dark mage and she would know nothing of it, oblivious to her death.

    Callista shrugged also "oh well, i bet you think i am stupid aswell," she said softly looking from the corner of her eye to look at the mage, she swung on the balls of her feet for a while and then dropped down again

    Lucanus had just come back when that damn mages fire had hit him! Stupid mages careless with hter dam magic, Lucanus was warded against most forms of magical attack from his order but fire still burned. Lucanus had also dropped the sack of body he grabbed becuase he had used it to block the flames that came at him.
    
    Lucanus came to the mage and Callista, "You almost killed me you spawn of a goat's ass and you destroyed the attacker I had captured. I should pound you into a bloody pulp right here." Lucanus pulled the rest of his scorched shirt off the blister on his shoulder had a nasty color too it. He rated his teeth loud enough for anyone to here.

    The stranger watched quietly, oh so quietly, and thought to himself, "Should he be aiming to strike the lady I shall act. But should the Mage act in haste and try to kill him, he shall surely die." He slowly drew his sword. Such a sword there was not to be found in all the land. It shone with an uncountable aura of colours. "Soon soon"

    He looked them, staying silent, taking the man's insult he smirked, a mortal against him, surely it would be funney as to blast the man into pieces, he did what he wanted. He looked at them from the cover of his hat as if they were inferios to him, in many ways they were, but at least they had an audacious attitude that Xavier himself did not have

    Lucanus gave Callista an odd look, was she playing dumb on purpose? He turned to the new comer, another noble with a glowly fork and supposedly omnipotent powers.
    
    "Ok... well this is getting a little weird for me, I'm going to leave this in your almighty hands." Lucanus snarled. With that he disappeared into the woods, heading back on the path to the city of Pedalan.
