   Everytime I use some functionality in the citadel (save using one of the hyperlinks in the left frame) I get a security pop-up that asks for a userid/password that I need to access the document " " on 127.0.0.1
   
   If I just hit cancel, everything seems to work fine, but it is rather anoying and rather strange.
   After all, what does the strolen site need with a un-named document that is stored on MY machine?

   Ylorea That never happens to me. What kind of pc do you have, That mey be the reason you have problems

   You are my favorite error finder. :) I think I have yet to solve one of your problems though. :oops:
   
   127.0.0.1 means your computer "localhost". That IP address is always used as your personal PC so if the request is coming with that IP address it means that it is your computer that is doing the requesting. Now why that would happen only on my site is a mystery I am not sure I can solve.I hesitate to think that it is a trojan or virus that is trying to trick you into giving some kind of info out. The hack that happened to this site was more of a backdoor to other sites then it was an actual harmful trojan but maybe that has something to do with it.
   
   When did it start happening?
   
   Have you run anti-virus software?

   I currently use a IBM T40 laptop. 1.5 gigahertz CPU, 1 GB internal memory.
   
   I run antivirus software daily with a near daily update of the defn files. (now the defn file is dated 16-06-2004)
   
   I Use Netscape with a quite high cookie fence and before I get to the internet, I pass a rather stiff firewall.
   I did run a "spybotsearch and destroy" yesterday after running into this problem.
   
   The AV and spyware check came up clean.
   
   Hmmm..... A trojan does sound like a logical assumption, however it ONLY happens at the citadel. Not at the fora, but just about everywhere else on the site, if I look at ideas, encounters, people, items or jump back to the home page... you name it.
   
   I only noticed the problem yesterday, but as you might have noticed, I did not visit the citadel for a long time.
   
   I will create a screenshot and send it to you by email.

   Thanks for your patience through this. It was a leftover redirect for when the site got hacked. Not sure why it was popping up on only yours and one other but I am pretty sure the problem is solved.

   Being back after a long, long time, I can assure you that as far as I noticed this morning, there seem to be no more silly pop-ups, so perhaps you feel like doing that happy dance again and then we can just forget about it.
   
   Hollidays are great, but you get stuck with soooo much reading after four weeks. ;+))
