Administrative Controls - A List
#1When reading a submission there will be a button called
I am going to make it take you to an Admin page with the following options.
-Edit this Post
-Flag submission for possible deletion
-Delete submission
-Send submission to reject database
-Ban this User
-Ban this IP address
-Warn this user (if logged in)
Edit this post: Does just that, but won't affect the last edited time or anything like that. Just a free place for us to edit if necessary.
Flag submission for possible deletion: If you aren't sure and want other opinions, this post can be viewed from the future admin panel and will be singled out on the Recent Submission Page for the admins. Probably appear at top or something saying an Admin has requested a group vote on this item. Will allow votes and comments on it there till we decide. Once a final decision is made, all votes and comments by Admins are deleted and the post is deleted or returned. Never is removed from the main site in this case, just privately flagged between us.
-Delete Submission. Won't really delete it, but will take it out of all our areas. Will keep it for archive purposes just like we are doing in the forum. Will be able to get to all deleted submissions from the Admin panel.
-Send Submission to reject database. Will prompt the Admin sending it there for some comments, if they want, and will send a standard form email to the author telling them their submission has been removed. Form letter will state generic reason, comment will be more specific if necessary. This is the way the author can go in and change it and submit it for reapproval if they did some edits. Otherwise there will be an option in the Admin panel to purge Rejects to the actual Delete database by picking each one, or a date range.
-Warn User. Will be for those that logged in and are stupid. Will just take you to the PM page for him to send him a private mail.
======================
Are there any other options you can think of that you might want?
will still be there so we will have and on all the submissions we can mess with. Delete through the button will completely delete the post from everywhere and any Edits will update the last edited time.
