[Deleted] Xyan Armada (Dimensification!)
#1What is this still doing here? That last comment worries me: if people are searching on Google and finding Dimensification's stuff thay're going to get a very bad impression of the site! It's a really bad munchkinny post too. Some mindless killer who gets visited by some angel who turns him into a superpowerful demon with laser eyes.

Xyan Armada | Planar Devil | Other | Contract Massacrer | Male | Author: Dimensification [ Print NPC ] [ Edit Post ]
A mysterious man with a quick tongue and a quicker blade...
Equipment
Out from the bottom of the back of his jacket comes the hilt of his black wakizashi. On his back on the inside of his jacket is a sheath. On his left side, under his arm, is a very thin quite stealthy arbalest. On his right side he packs extra iron bolts for it.
His wakizashi has one side that is heated to be to searing levels of heat, and the other to frigid levels of cold. The sides change every few seconds.
Appearance
Humane Form: He wears black clothing, pants, belt, shirt, jacket. On the back of his jacket are two large vertical slashes. His skin is of light gray. His skin looks white, as though entirely pale, but it's darker in tone. His hair is black with varying strands of gray and even white, giving it an ashen look. His eyes are red and shine softly, and moreso when he's angered or feeling passionate about something.
Diabolic Form: His skin is black, nearly as hard as adamant, and on it seems to coalesce water. Thin cracks in his skin glow ever so barely of red, and from them extrude massive heat. Out from his back comes demonic wings, each one the size of him. His eyes seem to blaze with fire, yet slightly. If angered, the cracks in his skin will light up, and his eyes will shine bright. The heat will lift his hair slightly, and up from it seems to float ashes, yet his hair never dissipates away. When in this form his delta waves(The things that lets people read your thoughts or control your mind) are amazingly scrambled and don't portray his thoughts. His aura is constantly changing color many times every second and doesn't display his true self, making both impossible to read.
Mannerisms: Once he used to be human, and he used to care, but then he was showed that there's no reason to. He doesn't out and attack people, he's very tranquil. Another thing he enjoys doing it drinking tea.
Background
Xyan was found by a cruel merchant, and with him was a sheet of paper with the word, "Xyan." He was raised in the rat infested alley ways of a large city. In his young days he was used to take out the trash for his "Father." In latter days, the days of young boyhood, he was taught how to be a thief. His manner was never truly emotional, as he seemed to be careless. Though, his eyes always showed his sadness. Then, eventually, he was taught how to kill.
After killing two other rival merchants, and then having to be forced to kill a woman; he slayed the man who raised him. It was one thing he was familiar with, were morals. He never wanted to kill her, the rival merchant's wife who was conducting the business on her own. Still, he had to.
After that he left the city and dug himself a place outside. It was in a grove in a large set of fields, and would be hard to find. The door was quite small and covered by leaves and bush mainly.
In his days he would wander about, as a mercenary. He'd kill here, and slay there. His skills with the sword grew as he did.
One day he was to slay everyone in a certain tavern. Instead, though, since there was a woman there, he slayed the rest and kidnapped the woman. He told his client that she died as well. He kept her for a while, and in that time, he felt feelings for her.
He laid with her, and then one day he let her go. She would often return to see him, but the visits became shorter. Until then he was given a job to destroy a certain assemblage of people. When he went he found her there with another man, and for the first time he felt apathy. No anger, or sadness, just pure apathy. He went and killed them all, one by one, brutually.
Soon after that he met the man he calls his brother, Janus Armada. Janus was the quickest and toughest fighter he'd ever met. It was fortune that Xyan was on his good side, though. Xyan was given a last name, and it was "Armada." Xyan's only friend is Janus.
After meeting with Janus and befriending him, he was approached by Janus' father. The man had long blue hair and twelve wings coming out of his back. The top wings were black, and they faded through the hues of blue, to white at the bottom.
Xyan was granted a certain power, and that power was that to be able to form into his diabolic form. The angelic being gave him such power, for few would befriend his son, as he had. Along with that, he enchanted his clothing to withstand the heat his body extrudes, and his sword the heat and cold power that it emanates.
Now, Xyan travels about, taking on contracts as a mercenary. Yet, he'll refuse to do single people now, and only does groups. Thus, his class, "Contract Massacrer." Xyan shows apathy and likes to toy with the world, as most beings aren't as powerful as he is.
Xyan loves to drink tea, and loves to sit down and take a break from chaos. Drinking tea is all in good fun.
Notes
He won't kill, even if direly provoked. He's got the insane ability to keep his cool through anything. Only a crazy amount of money, or another form of payment, will allow him to take on a job. His eyes shoot beams of solar fire. Its a beam of fission heat, and would basically annihilate anything, though his eyes must light up greatly beforehand and it's quite noticable to tell when he's going to do it. He won't take a job to a person without a great amount of charisma, and definately not to people of below genius intelligence. He's quite picky.

Just one questions: What is a "Planar Devil"?
Dimensification Submitted: 07.22.03 14:15 [ EDIT ]
It means that his diabolic form is closest to that of "Devil," giving him the race of "Devil" and since his main powers lie in the different planes of reality, he is a "Planar Devil."

So, even though he is possesed of total apathy, he made freinds with this son of a demon guy that is really hard to get along with. And this apathy all stems from the fact the chick he was supposed to kill, but didn't, was someplace in the presence of another man. Brooding, angst ridden, superpowerful munchkin.

What the HELL does Munchkin MEAN?!
CaptainPenguin Submitted: 07.22.03 17:33 [ EDIT ]
Munchkin: In the archaic speech of Roleplayers everywhere, a player who abuses power, creates characters, items, magics with massive powers and no defects, characters and creatures that never die and are endlessly powerful. See also, power-gamer and god-moder.
Dimensification Submitted: 07.23.03 16:54 [ EDIT ]
...He's like a genie. Find him, rub him the right ways, and you get your wish, if not, then plew. I guess genies are god-moder creatures too, even though they've been around for thousands of years......
CaptainPenguin Submitted: 07.23.03 17:08 [ EDIT ]
Not necessarily. The wish a genie (I call them djinn) gives you may be surprisingly literal, or not what you expected!
"I wish for magic sword!"
"Abracadabra!"
POOF!
"Hey! The only magic this sword does is drip sewage water!"
"You didn't say what kind of magic sword!"
CaptainPenguin Submitted: 07.23.03 17:11 [ EDIT ]
Wait a second....What do you mean? How could genies/djinn be munchkinish creatures? If a genie were a munchkinish creature, it would have an invincible energy shield, be able to cast any spell or psionic ability, be carrying an incredibly powerful magic ring, magic sword, and magic armor, and would be a piece of cake to defeat for the munchkin hero.

Djinns are not munchkinish creatures if played correctly. If you are remotely following the legends or write ups, they are not munchkinish at all. However, they and other things that grant wishes, tend to pop up in munchkin games. Munchkins "score" when they access great power, much the way roleplayers "score" when they roleplay well, or tacticians "score" when they are tactically successful. Nothing is really more powerful than a wish, so having a few hanging around is a munchkin dream.

Well at least no one began the discussion about Munchkins Vs Rule Lawyers - Tale-tell signs that you have to go beserk on your PC's.
Dimensification Submitted: 07.24.03 15:49 [ EDIT ]
The plural form of "Djinn" is "Djinni" which is exactly pronounced as "Genie." ...That's why. I don't care.
YOU BE TRAPPED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND COME OUT TO A JERK OF A MASTER WHO WANTS HIS WISHES RIGHT AWAY!...~Sniffle...~
CaptainPenguin Submitted: 07.24.03 16:01 [ EDIT ]
That's why they're munchkin creatures? Because the plural form of the word is Djinni?
Anonymous Submitted: 07.26.03 02:12 [ EDIT ]
No they aren't munchkins...Do you have ay idea how hard it is to get a lamp? I'm telling you it's hard.

Hehehehe... It's been a while since this has been posted on but I am the typist of the character you refer to as Janus Armada... Dragoon is an angel? Wow... Sounds a bit out of place if you ask me, Xyan. Either way, good to see my name is being spread even though this did knock my picture out of the number one respone as a search on google. Peace out!
