#1First of all, I thought we had a profanity filter or something. Let me explain.
In one of the RP threads, Luke did something both rather stupid and game altering. Araith, the GM, asked him to fix it. Luke then started what I would consider a temper tantrum, very much of the "I'ma-take-my-ball-and-go-home" variety, in which he used the f-word about sixteen times. The post is gone now. This is the PM I sent him in response.
Okay, Luke, let's get some things straight. You are now banned from the heart the bomb thread, and I will not hesitate to delete any further posts you make on it.
First of all, if you have a complaint, every other word does not need to be profanity. There are other ways to get the point across.
Second of all, the person who started a thread is GM, and their word is law. If you do something that they don't like, they have every right to ask you to change it. If you felt like Araith didn't explain the situation clearly enough, then let him know that. But don't throw a temper tantrum. Part of roleplaying is working with other people.
Also, it seems like there are many times when you either do not read all of the posts, or do something that would be considered blatantly stupid. While this is excusable mostly, it is very annoying. It would be nice if you would work on this. I know it's not a reflection of your normal roleplaying ability. You would be more welcome in games if you did.
Maybe the banning from the thread was a little much, but I'm not gonna have someone throw a fit because the GM wants them to fix a problem. Your opinions? -

#2I don't do the RP thing here, but I'd think the same treatment of normal games applies. GM = god. Watch your mouth. Banning him from the thread is perfectly fine, if he shows an improved attitude, maybe consider letting him back in, after a couple of months. Give him a little cool down time. -

#3I think banning him from the thread was entirely warranted. He needs to know he can't get away with that sort of thing (though it might lead to continuity issues in the game..."A hand appears from the sky and lifts Luke away, screaming"). You managed to give slating criticism without seeming harsh. I think you handled it very tactfully and in a way he'll respond well to.

#4Word censor. It is up to me (us) to put in the word censor...I started but didn't get very far. In the admin panel under "word Censor" just say the word and say what it gets replaced with. I added fuck so hopefully you couldn't read that now.
An outburst like that deserved immediate and firm action. If it was my son he would have got a spanking and grounded, so Luke didn't get the spanking. Well within you limits. Luke has something of a reputation for being stupid.
Perhaps if he begs for forgiveness and makes promises and the GM and Mod are satisfied and want to let him back, there is always that. Or maybe Araith is happy to get rid of him because he can be annoying...so be it.
He did it to himself and has himself to blame. -

#6It was a wonderful dream. Alas, it was not to be. He is a pox. Like a tarnished hav' pence be he. He returns as frequently and as odius as a country cousin.
